You own taxes by law. Elected officials decide how to spend the collected tax revenue. Citizens don't get to decide how taxes are spent by voting for elected officials to represent them. It's called a Democracy. I have not said anything about what is gotten from Ukraine (see the first sentence). It is a proxy war. The US is taking advantage of the conflict to disable Russia. It is not a position of moral high ground as you have stated in terms of taking an active role in other conflicts around the world. It is a self serving act as a nation with an ROI of increased national security in the future by disabling a longtime military threat. You might consider the ROI in terms of your boys not having to fight in an armed conflict in the future. "I pay my taxes," what do you want, a cookie? The IRS comes after you if you don't pay your taxes, it is not a badge of honor. And there it is, the only way this is a good ROI is because youre assuming the Dems would have had us in a war vs. Russia Otherwise it literally serves no purpose at all other than engaging in a war of attrition with Russia who's borderline 3rd world Youre a useful idiot. Cheerleading as billions of our tax dollars go to god-knows-where, we have no idea really. You guys acting all tough and patriotic for sending money across the world to just embarrass Russia is hilariously beta.

Again, I didn't say the Dems and I did write in a prior post that the action is party agnostic (devoid of belief in either party) --the opposite of what you made up as my position. "beta," now you are some kind of Andrew Tate wanna be internet tough guy. Well done and now I have the Mark Twain quote stuck in my head like an 80s pop song. "Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.”

No this isnt "party agnostic"....there are still people, as there should be, who question mindlessly forking over billions and billions of dollars. The only justification Biden has provided for this is "bro, trust me bro"

It is billions of dollars in the form of armaments and military systems. These will need to be replaced and our tax dollars will be used to pay for it and employ Americans who work in the military industrial complex to do so. They will likely be replace with newer and more advanced systems. Another ROI is that it is an indirect subsidy of the US military industrial complex which employs lots of people. Sorry if I outpaced you on the discourse. Let me bring it down to your level of thought and grammar. Youre slow. Its a lot like debating a moron who doesnt know very much but has conviction that self-righteous and ignorant opinion is equivalent to fact and knowledge and isnt capable of understanding concepts like the fungible quality of money.
September 22, 20232 yr Prices were getting high in Russia for diesel and gasoline, so Putin banned exports to most nations. (4 former Soviet nations are omitted) Can't risk the natives getting restless.

My understanding is that most of the equipment we're sending is older. The one item we need to ramp up production for is ammunition. We're not moving as quickly there as I'd like to see. But yes, the sticker price of the equipment is what's being counted when the reality is the equipment is actually worth significantly less. It's far more valuable to us in the hands of Ukraine than gathering dust in storage.

Surely you understand the "quality" of the money is always on the decline when printing money out of thin air. Yes and that is a serious concern. Way too much of that, printing money out of thin air, has happened since 2008. We've benefited as the financial safe haven of the world in terms of currency and that's eaten a lot of the printed money but what we've seen recently in terms of inflation is too much printing come home to roost, IMO. No argument that we financially behave like a family that just keeps getting credit cards and charging up debt without a plan to pay it down. And this is from someone who you would probably label a libtard.
