Cutting them off from SWIFT has to be a part of this. Second, try and turn Ukraine into Putin's Iraq (or another Afghanistan just without the creating Al-Qaeda side effect). Start supplying weapons, money, etc. to Ukrainian insurgents and try to bog the Russians down. Putin himself won't get exhausted, and there it no electorate to face, but we need to make this cost them real money and assets. The Ukrainians have people who will fight, and we should arm them.

It seems like the US is pushing for SWIFT but EU is balking. If that's so they need to grow a pair.
