Up yours with your unwarranted insults - what a pompous a*hole.    My guess is that you don't smell that good either.

You have no real response - but you are correct that the response of the Obama admin was pathetic.  What you conveniently failed to mention is that Obama drew his infamous line in the sand re Syria in 2012, and after Putin saw that he did nothing, he knew that the response of the Obama admin to an invasion of Crimea (which took place in 2014) would be pathetic.

Good one bro. I've never heard an Indians smell bad joke before.

I don’t need politicians to lie to us and make us feel good. Trump is just a dope praising a dictator who invaded another country because he wishes to have that much power. It’s all ego to him.

It’s not a brilliant political move by Putin to invade Ukraine. He’s gaining damn near nothing. What’s he want Chernobyl? More people that hate him? NATO was never coming for Russia, might not have ever tried to have Ukraine join. This is again all ego for Putin, which is why trump thinks it’s genius.

trump isn’t calling Taiwan. The entire world is calling china and Taiwan.

This.  It's a losing hand that Putin's playing here.  He'll gain territory and in the process get an unsustainable insurgency (you'd think this would've been a lesson Russia would've learned by now, but apparently not) and he'll lose alliances (however loose they were), and of course he'll endure economic hardships along with potentially his grasp on his own country.  This was an absolutely stupid move by him.

Youre wrong about both men, unfortunately

He’s doing it over an irrational fear of nato expanding into Russia. He’s already said he believes the west has stolen Ukraine from Russia. It’s ego.

He's doing it because his plan has always been to rebuild the Soviet Union.

He's stated this. It's not even an open secret.

He's an authoritarian with imperial designs. That's "why" he's doing this.

vikas smells amazing, you aholes!!!  :furious:

The real goal here should be two-fold. First, sanction the ever living hell out of Russia, including Putin and his inner-circle. Cutting them off from SWIFT has to be a part of this. Second, try and turn Ukraine into Putin's Iraq (or another Afghanistan just without the creating Al-Qaeda side effect). Start supplying weapons, money, etc. to Ukrainian insurgents and try to bog the Russians down. Putin himself won't get exhausted, and there it no electorate to face, but we need to make this cost them real money and assets. The Ukrainians have people who will fight, and we should arm them.

Thankfully, you don't have the same religious influence.

It seems like the US is pushing for SWIFT but EU is balking. If that's so they need to grow a pair.

That's how you read it because you care more about feelings.

In reality he has correctly analyzed Putins invasion as a brilliant tactic.  Its working almost perfectly for them, isnt it?

Smarter than you, though, sorry it hurts

It sure sounds like praise coming from Trump. Brilliant? The ruble is plummeting and world leaders are condemning Putin (well, except for the ones like Trump and his lackeys).  Is it working perfectly? Only the future knows.

False

He's doing it because it's low hanging fruit with no fight and he gets  a ton of natural resources, expands his power, better land mass/location and no ones going to say peep

Yea watch out for that power house Ukraine and their natural resources. A lot of good all those resources are doing Ukraine. Putin is losing far far more than he’s gaining.

Bottom line is he went in during Obama, took 4 years off, and when Trump was out he is now going back in. Call it what you want. Doesn't matter now because the bottom line is Biden is weak.

I don’t often agree, but this ^^^^ the correct answer.

"I'm going to stand up to him, he's a bully," then-presidential candidate Biden said.

There's no way Biden will do this, and frankly I'm not sure anyone since Reagan/HW Bush would, but...

I'd send the 7th fleet to Taiwan right now. Basically send the message to China not to mess around.

You aren't making any f'ing sense dude.  It is RIGHT WINg media that is spouting pro russia talking points non stop.  It is Trump who is also taking a pro russia stance and basically saying F Ukraine, collaboration with Russia is more important to US success.  However at the same time you think Putin would NOT do this with Trump at the helm, because...he fears him?  You ALSO fully acknowledge and applaud that Trump would not get us into war with Russia and you ALSo laugh at the fact that sanctions were not stopping Putin.

And all of these opinions simultaneously coexist in your head because Trump would have stopped Putin...how exactly?  5 D Chess?

I'd probably position them close by and make it known we're there, but would keep enough distance that it wouldn't be considered provocative. But one thing at a time.
