If they faked a video of Sokolov for propaganda purposes it would represent a new low, as time will absolutely reveal the truth.

That said, Peskov refused to comment on whether he was dead or alive, and there's been no explicit refutation of Ukraine's initial claim from Russia so it's not impossible. 

But I find it hard to believe that even Russia would be so stupidly brazen as to try and pretend a high profile Admiral was alive if he was meat-paste in Crimea.

Actually I know plenty and get most of my news from places outside the us and from being at the Ukrainian border helping refugees. But what do I know? I don’t get my news from fox and reiterate whatever they want me to say.

It’s almost like people don’t know Russia worked with NSDAPs.

Russian media shows a clip of the allegedly killed Sokolov, but it's from inside the fleet HQ that's been confirmed to be hit by missiles talking about an award given weeks before the attack. 

Odd that the only Russian response to claims that Sokolov was killed is a group video where he doesn't apparently say anything and this old clip. 

Zaluzhnyi and Budanov - leaders in the Ukraine military and intelligence apparatus - were claimed killed by Russian media back in May and June. These claims were convincingly denied and debunked swiftly. 

That Russia doesn't appear to be making any effort to do so for Sokolov is certainly odd.
