so pretty strange.

Russian media shows a clip of the allegedly killed Sokolov, but it's from inside the fleet HQ that's been confirmed to be hit by missiles talking about an award given weeks before the attack.

Odd that the only Russian response to claims that Sokolov was killed is a group video where he doesn't apparently say anything and this old clip.

Zaluzhnyi and Budanov - leaders in the Ukraine military and intelligence apparatus - were claimed killed by Russian media back in May and June. These claims were convincingly denied and debunked swiftly.

That Russia doesn't appear to be making any effort to do so for Sokolov is certainly odd.

Shut Up.  The Soviet Russian military is strong!

Long thread.

Now you get it - a-holes on both sides of a conflict that we're best staying out of.

Or, you can look at a situation, Russia invading a neighbor, and reason that Ukraine, being invaded, sort of makes them the lesser of two weevils.

Oh sorry, that would take critical thinking, and you have no ability there.

We don’t choose sides in a conflict based on who has the most a-holes. We choose sides based on which side serves our goals the most. Fascism marching across Europe doesn’t serve our country and never has. Stop spinning for a dictator. It’s pathetic.

When you look at two nations in a fight.

The fascist crap-bird nation, not-zee like nation, is the one invading the other.

There are not-zees everywhere.

These are very simple concepts.

A Ukrainian Drone Knocked Out A 70-Year-Old Russian Field Gun. It’s A Stark Reminder That Ukraine Is Winning The Artillery Battle.

Quote

In the nearly four months since Ukrainian forces launched their long-anticipated counteroffensive along several axes in southern and eastern Ukraine, the Ukrainians have knocked out no fewer than 80 Russian howitzers and rocket-launchers. The Russians meanwhile have knocked out just 24 Ukrainian howitzers and launchers.

While Russian forces with their 4,000 pre-war artillery systems—more than twice the Ukrainian inventory—have more artillery to lose, the disparity still is stark. And the trend, for the Russians, is ominous.
