Zelensky could have handled it better and not interrupted Trump but the incident can hardly be blamed on Zelensky. As of this moment, the relationship between the US and Europe is broken and there is no clear path toward restoring it.

If you notice, they use him in the role of an assistant coach to piggyback on and clarify what Trump says. Every time Vance is there, that’s what his role is.

That was my impression after watching the blow up yesterday and it’s why I think Vance is an even bigger threat to our national security. Look how extremely divided everyone is about what transpired yesterday. The far right is gleeful with joy and the leftist are ashamed and disgusted. Where is there a middle ground to this?! Anyone left in the center? The blowup was instigated and wanted by Vance/Trump. Zelenskyj took the bait and it showed that he also lacks some diplomatic expertise. For me there is one general question that remains for everyone: is Putin and his Soviet imperialism a friend or a foe?! We all want peace, but ask yourself that basic question.

The middle has been lethargic as always but also afraid of the woke backlash for sometime and now that fear has shifted 180. Europe in general should’ve seen this coming and prepared for it. That’s the main issue I have with the German government and their procrastination. And I will actually agree with Trump when he says that some of these European countries (including Germany) can’t have it both ways. They have relied on the US protection and have done nothing on their own. Here we have shifted waaaaay to the left and a main culprit of that shift was Merkel. She shifted the conservative CDU so far to the left that it create the right wing AFD years ago. And you have these leftist fools that still don’t want to invest in the military to protect the country. They’d rather greet Putin’s tanks with flowers and good vibes. I don’t know where this whole thing is going, but I hope it’s not the end of NATO and the US/European alliance. I don’t worry for myself and my generation, but my kids and following generations. History tends to repeat itself and humans are the dumbest species, as they don’t learn their lessons.
