I'm pretty sure I broke one of my own CVON rules by liking a couple of your anti-war posts defending the decision to withdraw. I had to shower right after, if I remember correctly. Now, like everyone else, I did criticize the execution of the withdrawal because it was atrocious and got Americans killed, but leaving was and is the right call.

Just like not spending untold trillions and not sending US soldiers to die at the Ukrainian border is now the right call.

  Right, you just expected the pullout from 20-year long war zone to go perfectly

You have to support war with Russia or you are a Russian sympathizer that's been brainwashed by propaganda, right?

No

Added: Russian propaganda states the US is on Russia’s border to overthrow Putin and take all the resources through might and control of Europe… while also being weak and broken as a country.

Propaganda suckers such as yourself believe Biden is a dementia ridden geriatric who’s also navigating some genius Underground Railroad of pedophilia lizard people going to make us all socialists.

They can’t be both.

lol I really don't care to delve back into the Afghanistan withdrawal debate. It's pretty much settled. The withdrawal was an unmitigated disaster and one of many epic embarrassments Biden has already faced while in office. The only thing he has going for him now is that he's failed spectacularly so many times, people don't even care that his negligence got American soldiers killed. Oh, btw, then he responded by drone striking a vehicle of Afghan civilians killing women and children in the process. Other than that, the withdrawal went well.

Also, this is pure fantasy.  No one's spending trillions and the US isn't getting into a hot war with Russia.  You know it and I know it.  But supporting America while we pressure Russia from invading another country seems like a pretty easy, baseline position for any American.  I know that's asking a lot from the group that openly and proudly supports terrorism, but still

lol what are you doing to support the US right now van? Posting positive Biden memes in the political pictures thread? How about if I send positive vibes to Antony Blinken right now? Would that help?

I don’t see anyone cheering dipsheet.

Why are Russia a mortal enemy?  What happened between the time we bought Alaska from them and now?  They helped win WWII since then.  So how have we arrived at a place where you look over and expect that they would even wish us harm?  Let alone actually commit aggression against us

It failed in large part because so many people just like those who post on this board cheer on a factional establishment in this country who like using our military for their own geopolitical advantages.  This is not to say Biden did the best we could have done, but just to say elements in our own government either dragged their feet so hard or just outright sabotaged the effort just to make an example of those who wanted and ordered the withdrawal

What a warm and fuzzy picture you’ve painted…

Now remember the Cold War, Cuban missile crisis and Democracy vs Communism. Russia chose the US as an enemy because the people in power in Russia don’t want the people under their control to decide they want free, open democratic elections.

When will you people who "just want to pressure” other countries ever be truly satisfied and the result will be that Russia is satisfied with its place and we are satisfied at the same time?

If supporting America's too much to ask, how about just not quoting Russian propaganda for starters

Nothing happened in the Cuban Missile crises.  let me also remind you that our very own American Polling firms have found Putin has popular support.

Van knows beyond a shadow of a doubt that the US isn't planning on spending trillions or sending troops to the Ukrainian border, but we might trick the Russians into believing it! We just all have to send positive vibes as patriotic Americans.

Again, the "propaganda" in question was a direct quote from the Croatian President. Can you clarify if you're saying the quote was made up and never happened?

I don't really give an F if Russia is satisfied.  They're an autocratic sheet hole.

Very mentally healthy summation of the debate going on here. I'll double down on the positive vibes to Blinken to show more patriotism.

The European (mostly British) hatred of Russia goes back centuries. Part of it stems from the Russians ability to resist colonialism. Today, the Europeans want control of Russia's energy deposits. When the Soviet Union dissolved, the Brits wanted BP to go in and develop Russian energy fields. Russia would have been like Venezuela.  Putin stepped in and put a stop to that and they've never gotten over it.

This is painfully obvious to anyone that's watched him speak in public over the past several years.

Yes, only those that  love America enjoy seeing trillions of taxpayer dollars and the lives of young Americans sacrificed for Ukrainian border security. CVON lolbertarianism coming in hot.
