Trump said it was a smart move from Putin’s perspective relative to the lack of serious sanctions the US and West would impose on Russia. He’s not wrong about that.

They’re the most serious sanctions we’ve ever put on Russia, even without Swift, a lot more serious than anything Trump was forced to impose. So yes, on top of rooting for a fascist dictator, he was also wrong.

Here's the truly hysterical part -- the current situation is ideal for the US. Russia's military is engaged and has been seriously degraded to the point that they have to bring in foreign troops. We a

You're right, I don't go around a political message board wondering why Trump is always brought up. Genius.

I mean, if the Ukrainian resistance thus far has proven anything it's that they won't be pushovers and thus willing to make this a more costly step by Putin. So no, not exactly the smartest move the longer this drags out.

You won’t get much Trump defense out of me. I just laugh at the obsession by the cult.

Lmao. The Trumplicans kept bringing him up in this thread and all you did was point out the people who responded to them. You are a joke and your "nonpartisanship" comes across as very fake.

 I bet these indignant ass clowns are gonna vote for him again too. They're not fooling anyone.

Are you joking? Are you blind or just stupid? Who do you think zuke is voting for in 2 years? Or Mikhail31mt? Bacarty, prcus, seventy yd f-stick, HE, lynched, or any number of these other slapdeeks that are so eager to defend him in every single thread in here?

Why not both?

gotcha so you want him to lie to you and tell you the world is full of rainbows and unicorns.

Nah, compliment our enemy as they commit an unprovoked attack was the right way to go.

That’s true and that point was the wild card and unknown in this atrocity. To your point, it seems Ukraine is putting up much stronger resistance so far than most anyone expected.

Other than KZ, name the Trumplicans in here.  Or are all republicans "Trumplicans”?

Mike31 and a few others have been arguing in this thread the line "Putin invaded during Obama and Biden, not Trump. Because Obama and Biden are weak."

It's not hard to find.

He said that before sanctions were announced.

Forgot about Lynched (much like Lynched forgets about the months of the year). Iggles too.

You don’t.  You’re too busy obsessing about him and boot licking the looney lefties in here, while claiming to be a moderate.

That's also a joke you don't

You on the other hand think you're actually a moderate.

WW1 and WW2 taught the world nothing, especially Europe.

No, no. You don't get to make any more comments about being a moderate after you just got done asking "besides Kz who's still even supporting Trump?" with a straight face. Time for you to mute yourself on the subject for at least a couple days after that gem.

Any comment on what the former president is saying about Putin and Russia?

No? Run along.

Ok.  And does that automatically make someone a Trumplican?  I know that particular poster is a bad example, because he is one.

Too much black and white in here.  It’s toxic and kinda weak minded.

 Now ^this moron is literally trying to claim others like Mikhail31mt aren't a Trump supporter. Why are they all this stupid about everything? What is it about a lack of intelligence that draws them all to the same side of the fence about literally everything?

Hitler had great ideas too. Had dogs. Hell of a guy.

So why do you think Putin didnt invade during the Trump Era... serious question

It is more advantageous to Putin to do it now.

Wow. I knew Trump was GOATed, but even this was stunning. To go from a leader with that type of strength to a geriatric patient with noticeable dementia... well, we can see why things are unfolding as they are.

Ridiculous that anyone thinks he said any of those things. The Trump we know wouldn’t have the courage.

1. Trump needs to shut his mouth and crawl into a hole during this.

2. Republicans need to walk the right line between criticizing Biden for being a pandering wet noodle and cheering on his failures with partisan politics.  Trump obviously falls on the wrong side of the line.

3. The country does need leadership and Biden sure isn’t providing it.  He just looks like a vapid nursing home patient who got pulled out of bingo and thrown into a suit to address the nation.  I was embarrassed by Trump’s behavior as our president and now I’m embarrassed that Biden is representing our country in this global crisis.  It’s a complete insult against the state of our nation.  When he was asked about China’s role in this and if he would appeal to them, he said "I’m not prepared to comment on that at the moment.”  What a scared, baffled, spineless, and unprepared response.

In all of this, everyone fears what Russia and China might do, while our leader is walking on egg shells trying to avoid unscripted appearances.

Im not a republican but your GD right I supported Trump and if its him and Biden again its not even a thought

Anyone who would vote for Biden over Trump at this point doesnt really love the country, they love radical leftwing and/or have debilitating TDS

It may actually surprise you but Id prefer Trump not run again.

But if its Biden vs Trump youd have to be an absolute mongoloid to vote for Biden, hes a total catastrophic failure.

Guys, it's time. He's not the leader we want right now, but he's definitely the leader we need:

It’s also been said that trump told every nation that if they go to the moon while he’s president he would blow up the moon and they do never return.  They must have believed him because nobody even attempted it.

Trump had the "mad man" leverage that Biden will never have.  He knew how to wield his own reputation as a loose cannon

Ditto. I feel like the Republicans have a layup in 2024, unless Trump runs. There are people who would gladly vote against Biden against virtually any other candidate except Trump because they despise him so much. Unfortunately, it looks like Trump is definitely going to run and he's still destroying all other Republican contenders in polls, so if he runs, he'll be the nominee. So we'll have Harris/Trump in 2024 assuming Biden fully breaks mentally (which I think he will).
