I think they gave up on that idea but as you said, a lot changes with "in development" status.

They did, but they never just say, we've moved unless its the Rogue Squadron thing.

But. Andor is out tomorrow. 🫰 it lives up to its potential.

This would be great in isolation, but I don't see a Director like that surviving in the maelstrom of Lucasfilm. They will note him to death

andor season two - watched the first two episodes.

ep 1 was really good. ep 2 though, seemed like filler. i didn't need to see 35mins of these two dipsheet factions having a pissing match that seemed to finally get resolved by a star wars version of rock, paper, scissors.

all as cassian would find some way to escape and be on his way.

I'm going to get into Andor once the draft is over. Non-spoiler feedback is it pays off by the end of the season.

i believe that's the point. there's basically zero structure at this time and they are trying to mount a rebellion against the greatest threat since the old republic.

What's that you say? There were other surviving Jedi of Order 66? Ahsoka was alive? Ezra was alive and training two Jedi padawans Ezra and Sabine, who also was a bad ass Mandalorian and at one point held the Dark Saber? Too bad those people can't help! Well, they will, sorta. as good as the animated series may have been, making them canon created, you guessed it, more plot holes.

Episode 3 is playing in theaters for the 20th anniversary. I took my son (who has never seen any star wars movie before). It was great seeing it in the theater. The prequels get a bad rap, but Episode 3 is solid, and so good on the big screen.

People generally accept it as the best of the prequel trilogy. It was fun in theaters the first time around. I saw a clip that there's a special intro from Hayden Christensen before the movie in this run.

The prequels were a huge missed opportunity. Episode 3 should have been spread across episodes 2 and 3 to show Anakin's fall and more actual wars in the Clone Wars (like the TV show did). And all they showed the new Vader do was kill Younglings and unarmed politicians. It would have been a great opportunity to have him in light saber fights with Jedi at the temple and extend those scenes.

There is incompetence and that. Watched episode 2 and it didn't get better - I was glad when that beast cut short the pain so the plot could move on.

I am quietly laughing at Mon Mothma's accent. It goes cut glass English to an Irish accent and back in a sentence. Once you hear it, you won't unhear it

But positives. The CG looks decent and it looks good overall. And no space lezzas so far.

yeah, but unfortunately we did get rager dancing mon mothma.

Andor season 2 has not been good. It's not awful like the Acolyte was, just slow and boring. Cassian has barely been in it. Spending so much time on the wedding in episode 3 was just bizarre. It did nothing to further the plot and wasn't even remotely interesting.

The cast barely knows anything about the SW franchise, even basic questions.

And O'Reilly saying Hoth is the least interesting of the planets listed, smh.

ep 2 was boring as well. i checked how much time was left while watching both episodes. when a person does that, you know it's getting boring.
