February 17Feb 17 I signed up for free trial of YouTube TV for pre & post SB stuff. Used a Philly zip code to get NBC Sports Philly. I'll cancel before the charge is scheduled. I haven't had cable/satellite since 2011 when I cut the cord. This confirmed for me I'm not missing anything except live sports. If I could just pay for NBC Sports Philly I would consider it, for the games. All the talking head "analyst" shows also get posted to YouTube or Twitter for free. So cable/satellite stuff is useless to me.

With the YT TV I used the Philly zip code but when I accessed it, it knew my location. It asked if I'm travelling so I said yes, and it allowed it for 3 months and then it will revert. It was more than enough for Super Bowl week.

March 19Mar 19 If you get it through MLB.TV It is only 24.99 per month, no peacock needed https://www.mlb.com/live-stream-games/subscribe/phillies

Other one gets you flyers and sixers too. If you do the math, they're saying the Phillies are worth 3x the flyers and sixers combined

August 29Aug 29 Fox and YoutubeTV reached a deal. Not losing fox. Now the question is how much more do we get to pay for it?
August 29Aug 29 thank god a deal got done. I recently convinced my not so techy dad to cut the cord and go with youtube TV, which so far he has been very happy with since he's saving a lot of money. I'd never heard the end of it if it caused him to miss football on sunday lol.

I feel like I remember one not being resolved on time. But still resolved, and quickly after the deadline. A deal always comes. But they usually end up costing you more money. People freak out about potentially losing a channel. Thats not what the worry should be. The deals cost big money and that gets passed to the consumer. At this point youtube TV isnt a cost savings over cable anymore. Lucky for them, I still like it better.

August 31Aug 31 What ISPs do you use, and how much do you pay? And then what streaming service(s) do you use?
