Time to just start stealing cable

I signed up for free trial of YouTube TV for pre & post SB stuff. Used a Philly zip code to get NBC Sports Philly. I'll cancel before the charge is scheduled.

I haven't had cable/satellite since 2011 when I cut the cord. This confirmed for me I'm not missing anything except live sports.

If I could just pay for NBC Sports Philly I would consider it, for the games.

All the talking head "analyst" shows also get posted to YouTube or Twitter for free. So cable/satellite stuff is useless to me.

Really? I wonder if I'll be able to get it here. With the YT TV I used the Philly zip code but when I accessed it, it knew my location. It asked if I'm travelling so I said yes, and it allowed it for 3 months and then it will revert. It was more than enough for Super Bowl week.

If you get it through MLB.TV It is only 24.99 per month, no peacock needed

That's just the Phils though. Other one gets you flyers and sixers too.

If you do the math, they're saying the Phillies are worth 3x the flyers and sixers combined

it's going up from a knot of dollar bills???!!

YTTV really needs to chill real ill

SIPPIN' !

Fox and YoutubeTV reached a deal. Not losing fox.

Now the question is how much more do we get to pay for it?

thank god a deal got done. I recently convinced my not so techy dad to cut the cord and go with youtube TV, which so far he has been very happy with since he's saving a lot of money. I'd never heard the end of it if it caused him to miss football on sunday lol.

I think on DirecTV they are also having an issue because when I launched my app last night to watch something off my DVR, the default station I was already on had one of those "unavailable/dispute" messages on the screen

this is yearly fellas. one year the provider will say they may have to drop (FOX, NFL NETWORK, NBC, MTV....) the next year another channel but always resolved.

pretty much. I feel like I remember one not being resolved on time. But still resolved, and quickly after the deadline. A deal always comes. But they usually end up costing you more money. People freak out about potentially losing a channel. Thats not what the worry should be. The deals cost big money and that gets passed to the consumer. At this point youtube TV isnt a cost savings over cable anymore. Lucky for them, I still like it better.

same. its more comparitive to cable prices, but not needing a box, unlimited dvr, watch on any device at any location makes it much better

What ISPs do you use, and how much do you pay? And then what streaming service(s) do you use?
