August 25Aug 25 Hostage - It was OK. An easy watch, only 5 episodes, most less than 45 minutes long. Another British show that could have been really good but just gets lazy and sloppy. It's like they can't quite figure out how to reconcile certain plot points so they just throw their hands up and say 'screw it, maybe the audience won't notice'. We usually do. Not that I don't enjoy mocking lazy writing, I'd just enjoy better writing more.
August 25Aug 25 Wednesday - Season 2. ??? Aside from the Wendy's commercials this seems be largely ignored, Not sure why, because I thought these 4 episodes were a hoot.

My won watched but me and my wife didnt really pay any attention. None of us have even thought about putting on episode 4.We all enjoyed season 1. I think he extra long layoff that netflix always has really killed the luster of this one. Cant get back in to it.

Releasing it in August with back to school, hot weather, just bad timing. I also don't like the switch to releasing episodes per week. Streaming changed things to binging mode.

August 28Aug 28 The Waterfront was canceled so no season 2. It wasn’t a great show by any means but entertaining enough and they left the door wide open for a second season. It feels like these streaming services know they can just cancel anything and move on to something new to save costs unless it’s a worldwide phenomenon.

On the other hand, we just finished Untamed last night, and that is just about as good, or better. And already confirmed 2nd season coming.
September 4Sep 4 Unknown Number: The High School Catfish. I recommend this. Quick 90 min documentary about 13 year olds being bullied by an unknown person. The first 15 min is a little slow, but it picks up and will leave you stunned.
September 14Sep 14 Netflix premium subscription live events with ads is BSPaying all of this and still having to deal with so many damn adsAre ads on when you watch it later and not live?

I can't stand all these ads.
September 27Sep 27 Black Rabbit is extremely well done. Writing and acting are top notch. Binge worthy. My only criticism is that none of the characters are particularly likable, but hey I could say the same about the sopranos.
September 27Sep 27 Tried watching "The Madness." It got so absurd and couldn't get past the stupid decisions by the main character. I read it just gets worse so gave up watching after 3 episodes.
September 29Sep 29 I started Black Rabbit and then got distracted. Will give it another try. After football watched Wayward. It was good except for the dumb ending. Thankfully it was only 8 episodes.
October 2Oct 2 Finally got to Wednesday. It was pretty entertaining. Nothing ground-breaking but entertaining if you were into the first season. What really stands out is the soundtrack though. We got Paint it Black on the Cello the first season. This season it's acoustic Bad Moon on the Rise, Instrumental Don't fear the Reaper and Piano version of Zombie by the Cranberries. Danny Elfman is a Fing master.
October 7Oct 7 Thought about making a thread but I don't expect it to go for one more season with the casting change. I figure it'll get canceled after this

And, yes, noticing the change in Geralt. It feels like it's already dead. I'm not really interested anymore except that watching feels like giving it a proper burial.
October 8Oct 8 House of Guinness. Made by creator of Peaky Blinders, Steven Knight. If you didn't know that, you would guess withing the first 30 seconds of the show. Same style of show including soundtrack. It's more soap opera though and makes most of it about sex scandals. There's a lot that isn't true and made up to make a more interesting show. I was hoping for more of the history of the business and the family, but it's more scandal soap opera. Also, Joffrey from Game of Thrones has a role, and he's incredibly annoying. He's going to get typecast as a character to hate. I like the look of the show and the soundtrack is good. Season 1 ends on a cliffhanger which is funny because it's history, but Knight has admitted he's not sticking to what's true so who knows.
