About half way through Witcher s4 aaaand its not working for me. Yes Liam is a bigger downgrade than i expected but its also just a weak season with bad monster fights, too many lame secondary characters and boring filler. Doesn't help at all that the main characters are separated or that the Rats plotline is probably the worst in the history of the show.

Yeah this season wasn't their finest. I didn't mind Liam as Geralt too much, though he smiled way too much. They could have done trimmed this season down to about 5-6 episodes and it would have flowed much more nicely. Enjoyed Laurence Fishburn as Regis. The only good thing about the Rats storyline was Sharlto Copley as Leo Bonhart.

Add that to the list of reasons 2020 sucks!

  • Don’t Look Up was hilarious!   that’s EXACTLY how something like that would go down.  They nailed it.   ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ Would Recommend to a friend!!!

  • You're drunk - the lack of Yennefer being naked at all immediately makes your claim invalid

Wow, I don't know if I can finish this. What a complete departure in tone and storytelling. It's just brutal camp now. Even visually and down to the costumes and makeup it went full generic fantasy. Liam is also bad, but he's not the worst of it by far.

I marathoned "Boots" over the weekend. Probably the best show Netflix has done next to Ozark.

Seriously?

I have it on my list but I wasnt expecting anything spectacular.

I enjoyed the fact that he is traveling with the same group all season long. As is Siri.

At times in other season, there seems to be way too many new characters and different angles of the story and it can be hard to follow.

This season was easy. And they focused on showing how he is evolving.

The monster fights were fewer. Siri's fights were cool. The took the lead on that stuff this year.

I will say Im getting tired of the 3 of them never being able to get together. At some point are we ever going to see what can happen if all of their powers combine? Seems that would be cool. Hopefully we get there.

I cant really get used to Geralt looking so different. But I thought it was a good story telling season with just enough action and magic mixed in. Also got the closest to seeing Yens boobs again since like episode 3 in season 1.

There's got to be about 20-25 characters on that show and all of them are interesting. I also know I could never be a marine, and I find what they go through pretty amazing.

I just started Frankenstein. If the rest of the movie is as good as the first 10 minutes, the pants will come off. Incredible start.

That's my plan for tonight

I will be watching that too.

It's good. Pretty much Shape of Water again, but good.

Is this the original story of Frankenstein? I dont think Ive ever seen a full frankenstein movie. Tragic story. Excellent movie.

The problem with the Witcher is that a lot of people want to watch it because of the game which is incredible, but it has another fanbase that wants it to be like the books which are for large parts dull as crap, and the showrunner didn't want to be particularly faithful to either and so managed the perfect storm of pissing off the entire fanbase at once (and Cavill). The second series in particular was a godawful mess.

The storylines they're doing this series are actually two of the best ones in the books, but it's not off to a good start in the 2 episodes I've watched so far.

I don't give a crap about books or game. I really liked the show for 3 seasons and now its utter dog excrement.

Closer than most other movie versions.

Frankenstein - That ish wasn’t scary at all. Really well done, seemed to drag just a little bit later on but Del Toro did a good job of keeping it it relatively tight. A lot of filmmakers would have gone for the 3+ hour long epic but he mercifully resisted.

I watched it twice.

First time was excellent. I felt like 2.5 hours wasnt even long and I wouldnt have been mad if it was longer. It was so good I felt like I wanted more of it.

I preferred the 2nd half with the monster told his story.

The best is the captain and his crew in danger from a monster on the loose and they sit down for hours of chatting.

Last Samurai Standing was pretty good - fight scenes were awesome. Hope it gets picked up for another season

Welp goodbye to quality movies playing in theaters. Netflix is already talking about shortening the movie release window for any future WB releases.

At this rate there will be 2 monopoly streaming services.

We're on our way to Demolition Man with Taco Bell winning the fast food wars.

New show from Kurt Sutter (Sons of Anarchy) "The Abandons". It's getting bad reviews but I actually like it. It's really cool seeing Lena Headly (Cersei Lannister GoT) play a very different role than what I'm used to seeing her play. She's really good. Haven't seen Gillian Anderson in anything in a while and she's really good as well. I'm 3 episodes in and I'm enjoying it, but I'm partial to westerns.
