October 15, 20241 yr Salem’s Lot - The remake currently streaming on Max. It’s bad, but I’ve seen worse. The acting is commercial grade, meaning worthy of a commercial, and the writing is often sub-commercial grade. They even reshot some of the more memorable scenes from the original exactly. All that said, some of it, occasionally, kind of works. Yes, I wasted 2 hours watching it, but I don’t hate myself for it. For lots of other things, but not this.

But I wouldn't call that a horror movie like it was advertised

I compare it to Truth or Dare (which is better in my opinion), You’re Next, Ready or Not. All awesome. I just saw Smile 2 and it blew them all away. Just phenomenal and terrifying from start to finish. I went by myself bc my wife has 4 broads over at our house before the Morgan Wallen concert, so I actually had 5 hours to myself despite working. Currently on the lookout for hookers and blow before I have to pick up my daughters.
