November 12, 20222 yr The $8/month where anyone can get a verified, blue check mark was one of the dumbest ideas he had and I’m shocked that he or no one around him didn’t realize that. Normal people shouldn’t have blue check mark, verified accounts. No one cares what John420696969 has to say. It should only be reserved for influential figures, celebrities, athletes, journalists, verified media members, companies, etc. Anyone who is familiar with Twitter could have seen the impersonation/fake account problem from a mile away, so it’s baffling to me how he couldn’t foresee that. Also, it’s pretty wild to me that Musk is the CEO of five different companies, and all he does all day is sit on Twitter and crap post like a 16 year old. What is this guy’s day to day like?

Musk uses Twitter to troll people. I would guess that’s not how most people use the app.

He can do whatever. I’m more taken aback by how often he is on it throughout the day. I would just assume that a guy who runs 5 companies would have more important things to do and be slammed 18 hours a day, but I guess who knows.

On the other hand, it continues to prove that Elon is in this for the sake of his fanboys, and unserious about managing the problem. All advertisers want to know is, can they market their brand on Twitter without their consumers thinking they support Elon's weird s***. But that's contingent on Elon not doing weird s***. Good luck.

Any idiot could’ve figured this out but this engineering genius couldn’t. For the low price of $8 you can impersonate major companies and prominent public figures causing confusion for general public
