I don't even understand what's going on with these checkmarks. there's two kinds now? or there was, briefly, and now they're not? it seems like they're still doing the $8/month thing. but the whole point of the blue checkmark was to provide assurance that the person attached to the account is who they claimed to be. so why would someone pay $8/month if it no longer is going to provide that assurance? or is it? I don't use twitter for anything except sharing crap here pretty much. occasionally with the wife. the checkmark crap never held interest.
