And for future growth, tethering yourselves to young people is the smart play. Tying your future to sad, divorced, Fox News-binging Trump supporters is a good way to have no customer base in a couple decades.

For some stupid reason, I decided to look through Gillette's YouTube page (I assume that's what you mean by "won't display it on their own social media", since FB, Insta, etc would cycle through based on when the ad was made, and this one was from 3 years ago). They have like 5 of the hundreds of ads they've made on there, so acting like they washed it from their history is really grasping at straws.

Nah, they’d keep it up if they didn’t get so much backlash. Also went off the airwaves pretty damn quickly. It was a wine stunt that backfired spectacularly.

Yeah this is sounding more and more like typical TEW horseshit pulled outta your ass. There's nothing I've found that implies they were forced to take it off air. I'm sure you saw something on 4chan again and took it at face value like you always do. You're as stupid and gullible as ever.

I guess Gilette's the only brand at P&G. Not sure that you can understand this, but losses of a brand don't help stock prices. If P&G did well during this period, it would have done BETTER sans the ad.

If the right wants to stop corporations from going woke, then put out a message that actually appeals to young people, instead of old divorced men. It's not hard, but they don't want to do it because culture war nonsense is all they've got.

I would submit that the successful ones are good at that, even if there are "old divorced men" as you refer to them running the show. I am sure these old men know a lot more about their company's business and how to run them than you do. Do you honestly believe the Gillette ad, and the Disney board stance on the "Don't Say Gay" bill appeals to young people? More like they appeal to woke managers and officers who procured them. As you correctly note, companies dipping into politics is annoying as hell to many.

As you correctly note, companies dipping into politics is annoying as hell to many. Both the far left and far right tend to overstate how impactful ads and stances like this are. The fact is, 90% of people don't care enough to actually change their buying habits over insignificant things like this. And for the 10% that do, they are often displaced by the other side of the spectrum. End result? Nothing. That's why NKE, DIS, PG, etc keep growing just as they always do and keep making bank for their shareholders. Everyone who sold thinking these companies were gonna go broke left big money on the table because they were driven by emotion rather than logic.

As you correctly note, companies dipping into politics is annoying as hell to many. I'm calling the Republicans that get up in arms over this sheet "old divorced men", not the execs. The execs are, like the right used to enjoy pointing out before they switched from conservatives to populists, just thinking about their bottom lines. And Disney is a good example of how most of the corporations think about it. They wanted to stay out of the fray on this, which should have been fine. Then, the left demanded that they speak up and they did because they calculated, wisely, that upsetting the left was far riskier to the future of their business than upsetting the right. Of course, Desantis tried to change that equation by releasing the strong arm of the government on Disney (and the right was happy he did, because like I said before, the right is no longer conservative). But, in the end, it'll still work out much better for Disney because they're Disney, so of course they have to appeal to the younger demographic. They need customers for life.
