i mean, drop in the bucket compaired to most manufacturer recalls.

Keep in mind that, while growing, they produce a lot less than other brands.

True, but during a production run when a defect is born gm or Ford would have run off 2.5 million vehicles with defects. This was only 130k

Electric cars are awesome for pure performance. But for me there is just something beautiful about a third pedal and being able to to climb up and down the gears.

Daily driver, electric makes perfect sense. But if I want to have fun, I don’t know… it seems sort of lifeless. No engagement with the vehicle, no noise of the engine, no soul.

Drive a Taycan and you will be convinced. Even added sound to replicate and engine if you want it.

Close. I prefer to ditch the traction control and the abs. My choice in vehicles tends to skew to muscle cars.

Like a hooker’s moan — you know it’s fake even if it’s better than nothing.

Vikas is ok with that too.

For the Justin Amash Fans. Something tells me they would agree with him. Or most of his fans would agree.  There might be a couple in here who pretend to be Libertarian, who are actually part of THE CULT.

Have not driven one yet, but plan to. Like I stated earlier, I have no problem with electric cars. The torque they can generate exceeds most cars out put. Can give incredibile acceleration.

as does mine.   And I'll add I like the voilence that comes with a high torque/high HP engine, through a manual transmission.  My blown prostreet car is an Automatic, and even though that engine has the mostHP/torque of all my cars,  My '69 GTO BBC 5 Speed is way more fun to drive and way more voilent. The Pro street car is fast, but not voilent.

Not sure what's going on here, but we're 0 for 2 on Amash stances as of late. Twitter is a private company that has clear ToS every user agrees to when they sign up. If those regimes he's referring to used the platform in such a way that violated those terms, then they should also be banned. Trump clearly violated the terms, so he was rightfully banned. Nothing is stopping him from posting on another social media platform like Parler or Truth Social. Other than the fact that they apparently suck and nobody is joining them.

Amash isn't arguing that Twitter should be required to unban Trump. He's rendering an opinion here about what twitter should do, not something couched in a freedom of speech argument.

I'm not familiar enough with Twitter's ToS, but it's certainly true that it should be applied equally to all users regardless of their politics. But Amash is suggesting the standard be more open.

Though I'd argue that Trump was himself advocating for and attempted to install a more authoritarian regime here in the US with his Jan 6 attempted coup, and that alone is enough to meet Amash's "don't tolerate the intolerant".

Not directly, but he's tiptoing around it by referring to "authoritarian regimes that restrict freedom of speech."

And yeah, by any reasonable standard, Trump should've been banned for what he posted, even the deleted tweet on Jan 6th targeting Pence.

There are plenty of things to take issue with when it comes to Twitter and their policy enforcement teams, but banning Trump from the platform after January 6th shouldn't be anywhere on the list. I mean, he had a loooong history of posting some pretty vile garbage and getting away with it. If anything, Twitter was far too lenient with him.

That's the insane thing in all of this that seems to keep getting forgotten because Twitter was "so unfair".

As a business based on communication the idea that Trump is banned and thousands and thousands of other far worse accounts arent is a laughingstock and clearly illustrates a political bias. He was the f'ing POTUS for god's sake.  At some point you have to employ common sense.

The fact that you have a blind spot to this is 100% due to TDS.  Nothing more nuanced than that.  I dont want to hear bull ish about "private company terms of service"....stfu

I have been doing some extra cardio, have to be ready to be constantly laughing at the idiocy that Agent Orange will tweet.  Getting him back on Twitter will have us all ROTFL

"but the terms of service!!"

Lol jesus

I mean, personally I tend to hold my President to a higher standard than the typical Twitter troll.

I'm torn. I definitely miss Trumps self owning tweets and all the damage he inflicts on himself, but I also know it absolutely kills him being banned.

it is possible to act like an ahole troll on social media without getting banned...or so i've heard.
