You got a link to those employees complaining that the "world would be worse off without them"?  Sounds made up. I've seen plenty of people speculating "hey x, y, z team was let go/quit...that's going to be a huge problem going forward". Which again, given the fact that the buildings are totally shut down is more likely to be true than not.

And no they're not just being asked to "be productive". He's making ridiculous ultimatums like demanding 100% in person staffing in high cost cities, then scrambling to try and retain employees and backtrack from those ultimatums  when they result in them telling him to F off.

Free market economics works both ways. The employees had a choice to stick around given certain criteria, or take severance and find a new job. The fact that such a massive majority of employees took the latter option is absolutely more a reflection of the Chief Narcissist Officer than the employees.

There there was the UN Human Rights Team lady and some others in product management and moderation teams. But this was over 2 weeks ago, so while I could trawl Twitter and work it out, I can't be arsed frankly.  Anyone can see Twitter was full of self righteous employees/contractors

Like we touched on before, it's not that easy. I don't care how disciplined you are with documentation and PI planning, familiarity matters, knowledge transfer matters, hell even just a few tools they've never seen before is enough to set back tasks for weeks.

It does, but there is no proof everyone who knows stuff has left.  It's all hyperbole.

One engineer said that resignations had hit important parts of the company's engineering operation.

"Entire teams representing critical infrastructure are voluntarily departing the company, leaving the company at serious risk of being able to recover," the engineer, who said they were handing in their resignation on Thursday, wrote to CNBC.

The engineer added that many leaving Twitter did not feel the need to stay, and that they only knew of two people staying, one because the company sponsored their U.S. visa.

"We are skilled professionals with lots of options, so Elon has given us no reasons to stay and many to leave," they wrote.

It's one persons opinion; not a representation of everything. Twitter is still up and running 36+ hour after people were saying it was going down any moment.  And while I wouldn't intend to let people go in his position, I do think Twitter was coasting as a company and there will be been a lot of due diligence done up to the point of sale to find areas of fat to be trimmed.  After all Musk didn't just go into a shop, buy Twitter and then decided to sack people 2 mins after buying it.

And to be clear in general. I think Tesla's are the automotive version of Apple stuff.  A cool brand name to be seen to have by a demographic; maybe cool, but you pay a price for that.  I wouldn't buy one.  SpaceX is more interesting and in a better niche.  I don't think Musk is a great coder either.

Yeah just a random person's opinion.

Literally nobody with a clue but people desperate to defend Musk keep using it as a strawman argument because they have no other choice considering what an abysmal failure this has been so far.

Just as I thought, I own you. Listen, if you want permission to leave, just ask.

Going with more rambling and saying dumb stuff, huh? It's a message board, dude. The only people aiming to "own someone" or think they are "owning someone" are mentally unstable or teens who's balls haven't dropped yet.

Space Karen 🤣🤣🤣

I for one vow to do my part to make this moniker stick.

Trump is back on Twitter now, which means DeSantis is a goner. Enjoy 6 more years of Biden in the whitehouse.

Nope. Biden is spent. If he bites I'll be more than surprised he isn't contested. Even Pelosi knew it was time.

Trump? No way he maintains the tone of his press conference. DeSantis sits back as Trump goes at it with every target the GOP puts in front of him.

At this point I think it's basically an open seat in 2024. Two years is a long time though.

Trump would no longer be the star of Twitter, that would be Space Karen.  So even when/if he ditches his 2nd banana Truth Social, he's still 2nd banana on Twitter.  Either route he goes he comes off as a loser again.

Yeah, triggering a B*** like you is fun f'ing with someone unstable. Acting insane saying you are "owning" people is a part of the market you have cornered. The fact you don't know the difference makes my day.
