You can argue about this or that with Davis, but at the core, Davis is exciting. Will this very exciting freakbeast be able to play every down? Will people complain if he doesn't play every down? He was the defensive player of the year and huge fast and powerful. "but if they put 3 guys on him, they can stop him". He can't pass rush. He's a pure run stopper. At a time when the league is more passing then ever. If we were going to go defense there take a pass rusher or CB.

April 29, 20224 yr Davis is more Brodrock Bunkley than Cox. He has the look, and the great combine numbers, but they don't match his production on the field. He's a two down player.

And has weight issues. and only 2 sacks kept the Bulldogs from winning the national championship? Georgia had a ton of top players on defense. They won the national championship. One of the great players, one who didn't win defensive player of the year, was picked #1. One of the great players, who did win defensive player of the year, was picked by the Eagles with #13. 10/10 RAS, #2 highest RAS ever, after Megatron. The year before Oweh had no sacks, but was still Big 10 defense of the year, the Ravens are happy with him. I suggested Oweh here last year for the Eagles. Generally those top of the line RAS guys with freak numbers who did do well in college do well. Davis should do very well.

Davis played in a scheme to give the LBs tackling space. He was not tasked with creating pressure. And, as much as we all loved watching Dawk knock the snot out of players, those hits would now be penalties. This is a great, "who controls the LOS wins" pick.
April 29, 20224 yr Pretty sure we have honey badger locked up. Tomorrow we trade Reagor and make back the picks we used to get AJ brown.

I think you may be right about Mathieu. Doubt we get more than a late 5 for raegor. I’d rather keep him for year and see what he can do if that’s best we do

No one and I mean no one knew Jordan Davis before he ran the 40 at combine…and hell we pick him at 15 or preferably 18, fine, but to pass on Hamilton for this guy, who can’t get to the qb….his speed don’t mean a damn thing…horrible pick for what we gave up for him
April 29, 20224 yr It's hard to believe we started with 10 picks, made 1 selection so far and only have 4 picks remaining. Hopefully we can move Dillard and Reagor for something.
