UDFA Tracker - Carson Strong, Jobe, Goodrich, ...

We signed Strong? As a UDFA... Wow.

I think the UDFA signings are great . Really interested to see how some of the work out and surprised that some of them were not picked.

jobe for example , Alabama CB who played with surtain , he’s definitely got a shot on this team

Jobe has a real chance because right now there are real question marks over our CBs.

Must be a different Strong, like the Josh Allen DE, I remember on here  Carson Strong had a chance going late first and definitely would be gone before the third. No way it can be that guy.

In all seriousness my guess is it means his  knees are borderline Jay Ajayi but he's intriguing enough as a talent to risk a rookie deal to see if he has a medical miracle.

Just watching some of strongs tape - what an arm he looks to have

Surprised they haven't signed any DEs...but love the Jobe signing he could challenge for a starting job IMO if they don't bring in a veteran CB.

Wow, that‘s a really good signing in my book. Think he‘s way underrated.

Brooks is a nice signing.  Solid RB for a commitee.

Carson Strong is a nice "freebie".  They have time to check him out and get a good read on the knee.  He is the exact opposite of Hurts.  I suspect his passing talent will be hard to ignore, because he won't miss wide open receivers and will process the field.

Jobe may be a steal.

I thought I was the only one who felt he's a little over hyped here....

Saying he was good is over hyping? Hurts was throwing to him and he still played well lol

He was good, that's not what I am saying at all. Kid definitely has skill and I feel was held back due to his QB. Just saying so many people here act like he's a proven #1 when his numbers weren't off the charts....great for Philly, but everywhere else....good #2 numbers

So many people like who? Practically everyone here wanted another reciever in the first.

Probably more in my personal circle than on here. I'm surrounded by Hurts fans in my personal life and they talk Smith up like he's 6"4 230 and runs a 4.3 .... It really makes me hate eagle fans most days

I like the video on the side talking about the coaches trusting him to make audibles, recovering as time goes from last February, and the knee getting better and feeling more comfortable.

He said he can has "untapped power in his arm strength" because he wasn't comfortable driving off it...freak if that is true.

I noticed he was all arm in the videos.......thought his success might hinge on whether he now has enough confidence to plant and drive off his leg.  Easiest explanation as to why his ypc dropped last year.

Have him put some high fancy tech Knee braces and we got a Tom Brady here guys. Cheers!

It’s definitely the knees. They took a gamble, a very very small one… if the knees hold up and he recovers some mobility, he’s an absolute steal as a UDFA.

Good #2 numbers as a rookie, in a run first offense,  with a QB who struggles to throw the ball is pretty damn impressive.

I wouldn’t even call it a gamble. Udfa QBs are signed and cut all the time. At bare minimum he’s a camp QB.

The team is addressing the CB/DB needs thru UDFA.  They also signed a bunch during the past season.  Someone will emerge from that group.  May not be stars, hopefully serviceable and as role players until some blue chips can be added.

Ditto to RB.  The top of depth there is fine.  Need some power back though.

Howie did not forget filling the pipeline of the QB Factory.

Not surprised at all. We moved in the direction of a 3-4 over/under more and more last year. We needed more LBs and outside edge rushers like Riddick. Adding a true NT was key which they did with Davis.

Yeah that’s why I clarified that it was a very small one, only because I couldn’t think of a a letter word. They took a chance that his knees recover is all I was getting at, which is a super low risk high reward move.

Know what the jury isn’t out on? The shape of the earth…and DeVonta Smith.

Bwahahahahaha…yeah, amazing how in that run first offense he’s only put up 3000 yards his first three years. What a scrub.

I’m pretty psyched man. You know how bad I wanted Davis. Glad Howie felt the same. Jurgens is our heir apparent to Kelce which lets Dickerson stay at LG, keeping that insane tandem with Mailata intact. Dean is potentially the steal of the draft in R3. I’m a big fan of Kyron. He has amazing change of direction skills and quickness. I feel he competes with, and beats out, Patrick Johnson for the Reddick backup spot. Calcaterra has some injury red flags that worry me but he’s a 6th rounder. Low risk, possible high reward as TE2. Has historically been a real red zone weapon, but he’s the one I’m hesitant about. Oh, and not to mention…AJ BROWN!

So far with UDFA I’m excited. Wasn’t a big fan of taking Strong on day 2, but as an UDFA? F yeah. Kennedy Brooks has a great shot to make this team (not sure how he was Undrafted). Goodrich, Blankenship, Blackwell and Jobe add to the young DB room. May the best men win the roster spots.

Overall, I’m excited for the manner in which we’ve approached the off-season the last two years.

yeah  several cbs i liked on the board in that 5th early 6th round but i know they like the guys they added off trades last year so i’m not mad they went other directions. Calcaterra could also  be a beast if he can stay healthy definitely worth the chance at that point. to bad we didn’t get a punter but oh well
