He's got a ton of arm talent, could be a steal if stays healthy

That's quite a haul. Howie wasn't kidding when he said they were going to be extremely aggressive with undrafted FA's. This one still upsets me Makes it sound like we offered more $$$ but he got lured by the false promises of Jerryworld
May 1, 20224 yr For those not aware of who Britain covey is, his family is a big name in Utah as his family were the inventors of the covey Day planner. Back in the 90's every high school kid, soccer mom, and office going dad had a covey Day planner that they also used at church. The invention of the palm pilot effectively killed the day planner off. As a player he's a bit older as he served a two year Mormon church mission and was a 5th year senior so he's 25 years old. He was an explosive player at Utah as a gadget slot receiver and returner. He's only 5'8" 170 but he's got some juice.

Funny story about Luther, he used to come to my high school from time to time to visit his aunt who was a teacher at my highschool. He was a large human ,his son is listed at about 360 pounds 😳

He struggled with injuries at Utah but bringing him in as a UDFA to see what he can do as a PR special team gadget guy can't hurt

As long as he stays in the pocket or at least behind the line of scrimmage he has some protection by rule. We have some shiny new defensive guys to pressure him in practice and see how he reacts. If he knows how to work the pocket he has an O line that ain't chopped liver.

I think in some other drafts some of the UDFA's don't go undrafted. I think Howie showed some real patience this draft. That's what Howie was quoted as saying. This has been a bit of a strange draft I think.
May 1, 20224 yr The more I watch and read about Carson Strong, the more I’m excited about his drive and love of the game. I feel like he could be something special one day. Who knows though? I’m rooting for him for sure.

Some people would have you believe no one in the history of the game has more love and drive than Hurts.

May 1, 20224 yr Carson Strong, Baby! He throws the ball with accuracy and touch. Gets rid of the ball quickly. He can throw the long ball with accuracy as well. He has decent mobility as well. He could become the QB of the future with hard work.
May 2, 20224 yr Not to be a downer but I'm trying to be realistic. Strong reminds me of G. J. Kinne. Looked great during preseason but never got a chance. I guess Kinne is a Division I head coach now.

To my knowledge Covey wasn't an Olympic skier, but growing up in Utah and coming from a family with money , his dad is a well known author and motivational youth speaker In Utah,I'm sure he went skiing occasionally. He played QB in highschool was 4A MVP. Bloom only played 2 years in college Covey played 5. Bloom only had 28 career receptions, Covey had 184. Bloom had a total of 15 rushing attempts covey had 49. So covey was used a lot more on offense in college than bloom. Not sure blooms heart was really ever in football, the dude is a world champion skier, covey is a football player. They do have similar athletic and build profiles though. If covey panned out as a return specialist/end if the roster WR would be one less thing to worry about.
