yes this is the only player i’m hoping for yet we met with him he is worth a chance for sure!!! i thought he could have been a 4-5th round pick

Bad medical. Bad combine.

I watched some tape on Strong. Even at the senior bowl he still wasn't planting on that back leg. He's done a tremendous job of compensating for not being able to plant on that leg. That said, he lacks the ability to plant and drive the football in the film. He says he's been working on it but we'll just have to wait and see.

Jobe has a real chance because right now there are real question marks over our CBs.

I didn't see you in the Master of the Draft, what gives?

The team is addressing the CB/DB needs thru UDFA.

Problem is they're going to play like UDFAs if they make the team.

Just review the picks from every team in the league and see how many teams went DB/CB, with the Eagles being one the the most needy teams at those positions we did nothing.

OK Eagles fans, on three, 1, 2, 3 ....GREAT MOVE Howie!!

Wouldn‘t even cost a pick!

Go take a long walk off the edge. We already have multiple day 3 picks that we drafted or traded for during the season. They’ve now brought in more competition. I fully expect some "bigger names” to hit the market before the season like Bradburry also. This roster is far from settled.

Good #2 numbers as a rookie, in a run first offense,  with a QB who struggles to throw the ball is pretty damn impressive.

That's why I said held back by the QB. Smith was open A LOT while the QB was running elsewhere

Really excited to see how Carson Strong develops. He has a lot of potential especially for going undrafted. And getting Jobe??? Best Howie draft ever.

Finally.

I can wear the little yellow "Carson Strong" bracelet I bought 5 years ago once more.

UDFAs I think have a shot to make the roster:

Carson Strong

Kennedy Brooks

Reed Blankenship

Josh Jobe

Mario Goodrich

Noah Ellis

UDFAs I think have a shot to make the practice squad:

Josh Sills

William Dunkle

Britain Covey

UDFAs I don’t think will make either:

EJ Perry

Josh Blackwell

Just watching some of strongs tape - what an arm he looks to have

And he was making a lot of those throws all arm because he could not drive off his leg.  Just wait, it will only get more impressive.

And makes throws Hurts can never dream of making

Because he looks like a USFL quarterback?

I for one don't care how he looks. I care how he makes DeVonta, AJ, Quez and Dallas G. look.

Time to build the team around him

Think Brady was a steal as a 6th round pick? HAH, watch this!! :towel:

We signed Strong? As a UDFA... Wow.

I wonder if this year's class was under rated and next year's class is over rated. There were certainly no 'generational' QBs this year but to be picked as low as they were? I guess we'll find out.

I didn't participate last year either bud.

Which one of you has that podcast?

I just found it on You Tube.

any punters?

are we going to have to get a bum off the street to punt?

I like the UDFA signings. I think it makes up for some of the late round picks we gave up. I think in some other drafts some of the UDFA's don't go undrafted. I think Howie showed some real patience this draft.

So I guess it's going to be one big gigantic competition for CB 2 between all of the day three and undrafted guys. Zech, Gowan, Vincent JR., Goodrich, Jobe. Can't wait.

On a more serious note though, that's got to be one of the best undrafted classes in the league.

That'll be fine until he gets hit by a veteran defensive player. Maybe he's really good at getting rid of the ball and getting away.

Per Reuter we got...

....The number 1 and 2 undrafted QB's, the number 3 RB, the number 2 and 3 IOL, the number 2 DT, the number 2 and 11 CB's, and the number 8 S.

That's quite a haul. Howie wasn't kidding when he said they were going to be extremely aggressive with undrafted FA's.

Daaayyyuummm. That's a strong UDFA group.
