One theory on the leak is that it comes from a young clerk who simply believes that all action is justified morally as many recent grads apparently believe.

I didn't hear about them entering. Churches are still private property, so they can be rightfully evicted from the premises.

This has been THE 3rd rail of U.S. politics for some time, though. I'm not sure if the right ever really accounted for just how much unrest this has the potential to cause.

God, they have got to stop evoking RBG as if she were some kind of saint. She F'd the entire left over because of her vanity/stubbornness and what does the left do? They worship her. Way to send the message to future liberal judges that they can stay in too long, hand the court to the right and be praised for it.

She stood resolutely and with cool confidence for many of the feminist causes that the left champions, and she had a kind of tact and graciousness about her that was admirable. However, I wholly agree that she's part of the problem today, and that is largely ignored on the left. If she had just listened to Obama and retired, the Court would still have enough diversity to keep Roe intact.

It's pathetic and emblematic of everything wrong with the left. Style over substance. Being right over winning. Plus, I generally don't like lionizing any political figure (except of course, Biden, but he was hand-chosen by God to save us so I'll make an exception).

May 5, 20223 yr And Chief Justice Roberts defended the Court from attacks calling it a political body motivated by loyalty to particular party. Boy was he wrong. To get on the Court in the first place, you have to be a Member of the Federalist Society, where loyalty to party is demanded and overturning Roe v. Wade is an absolute requirement. The real issue is, justice Cavanaugh, Alito etc. all stated under oath, that they believe in precedent and roe v. wade is the law of the land. They lied. They should be charged with Perjury.

May 5, 20223 yr 13 minutes ago, mr_hunt said: oh, susan. Maybe Susan needs to learn how to count. In 50-50 Senate, The Dems do not control the Senate. They don't have the votes to kill the filibuster and they don't have the votes to Codify Roe v. Wade. 1st. If Manchin and Cinema voted to kill the filibuster, it would still take 60 votes to codify Roe V. Wade. There aren't 10 Republicans in the Senate willing to do that. So again she needs to go back and take 5th grade math and watch conjunction, junction on how a bill becomes a law. Finally, as soon as republicans, retake the house, senate and republican president, without the filibuster, they will outlaw Roe v. wade. So it will be legal and then illegal every so often depending on who has control. The only real way, is to take the law to Court, arguing sex discrimination and a violation of the 14th Amendment Equal Protection Clause as RBG suggested it should have been done in the first place. Then in 50 years, it may become the law of the land, once again, but this time based on the Constitution, in which it will be much harder to eliminate once passed.
