Is this another large stepping stone on the path to civil war?

Should we get that far there will have been many many key steps along the way and this one will be one for sure.

The "two state solution" should be interesting if it become less than an abstract idea in the middle east.

Personally I think a return to emphasising power in the states will be the workable solution. It may even bring a rise in participation and more accountability of elected officials.

See, the really hardcore people will tell you life begins at fertilization. Fertilization, when the sperm fertilizes the egg. Which is usually a few moments after the man says "Gee, honey, I was going to pull out but the phone rang and it startled me!”

Fertilization...but even after the egg is fertilized, it’s still six or seven days before it reaches the uterus and pregnancy begins, and not every egg makes it that far. Eighty percent of a woman’s fertilized eggs are rinsed and flushed out of her body once a month during those delightful few days she has. They wind up on sanitary napkins, and yet they are fertilized eggs. So basically what these anti-abortion people are telling us is that any woman who’s had more than more than one period is a serial killer!

Consistency, consistency...Hey, if they really want to get serious, what about all the sperm that are wasted when the state executes a condemned man and one of these pro-life guys who’s watching comes in his pants, huh? Here’s a guy standing over there with his jockey shorts full of little Vinnies and Debbies, and nobody’s saying a word to the guy! Not every ejaculation deserves a name.

Personal responsibility. Collectivist kryptonite

There has to be some middle ground somewhere between "fertilization is life" and the ho on her 5th abortion.

I agree that many people are personally irresponsible when it comes to pregnancy, but it is in the best interest of everyone that there be at least a reasonable minimum time period for when the pregnancy can be terminated.

Either way, the comments referenced in that post are emblematic of the hypermasculine aspects of Christofascism.

Our first two were born in a Catholic hospital (we're not Catholic just happened to be the hospital my wife's favored obgyn was attached to) and when my wife inquire about an IUD they told her it was equated with abortion so they didn't do that.

Seems relevant...

If we keep letting these religious wackadoos infiltrate our government then we get what we deserve.

Agreed, Trump should never get anywhere close to the levers of power ever again.

Moss doesn’t have the money to do that. One of the consequences of being poor.

You have been proven wrong.
