He got three solid prospects, a future 1st and 2nd, a top 24 year old WR, and replaced those last round picks with a huge UDFA haul. Can't play it much better than that! But some people will never be happy if they're denied their ITYS. And all of that has translated into postseason success how?
May 13, 20223 yr I love the revisionist history. We were a "4-win team” heading into the season but got to 9 wins. It’s because of a cupcake schedule? Uh…. Hello? The Eagles were supposed to be the cupcakes. You can’t have it both ways. Either the Eagles performed better than you thought they would (wanted them to?) or you expected them to be a playoff team all along (yeah right).

I doubt we get 9 wins if Nick didn't change the offense midseason

Either the Eagles performed better than you thought they would (wanted them to?) or you expected them to be a playoff team all along (yeah right). I picked them to go 7-10. I liked the Sirianni hire and liked that they went with young head coach and coordinators, but felt that would lead to a very slow start. Picked them to go 2-7 in the first 9 games and improve to 5-3 with an easier back half. They went 3-6 and 6-2 on each half to beat my prediction. They have an easier schedule this season, although the easy part is the first 9 games this year, with the last 8 being tougher. That might not equate to a lot of extra wins, because they were non-competitive against the very good teams last season. They beat the teams they were supposed to beat. The surest sign of whether they're actually improved over last season will be if the defense can compete against offenses like GB, ARI, and DAL.

And the OLine was healthier in 2021 than 2020. In 2020, every play was a jail break. Our QB's ran for their lives. The team was a wreck.

I don't know what the difference is but I do know that was what Kelce said which is that he felt much better at the end of this season.

Dickerson could play center, but he was so promising at LG they'll keep him there - so that's a negative?
May 13, 20223 yr People are putting out some lofty expectations with this schedule. 2 teams were 13-4 last year. 4 teams were 12-5. Everybody else was below that.

I went into last season thinking they should be able to run the ball enough to win some games. I think I predicted 7 or 8 wins. I was hopeful the defense would have been better than it was coming out of training camp. Credit should be given to Sirianni for adjusting the offense to fit their strengths. They did have some dominant wins but they struggled against good teams. 6 minutes ago, LeanMeanGM said: People are putting out some lofty expectations with this schedule. 2 teams were 13-4 last year. 4 teams were 12-5. I go between 9-8 and 10-7 as a prediction. The organization will have at least 11 wins as the goal. How much will the pass rush and defense as a whole improve? To what extent will opposing defenses gameplan to shut down Hurts' running lanes? To me those are the biggest factors determining the Eagles fate. I don't put a high variable on Hurts' overall improvement because IMO he's basically a finished product running and lacks the talent to improve dramatically as a passer. He's on a Tyrod Taylor trajectory until he proves me wrong.
