Thing is majority also have on field talent they don’t need to rely on cliches like "work ethic, so likable, no one works harder” etc. Funny thing was early in his career Carson Wentz was frequently talked about as "great work ethic. First one in, last one out.” Then once he leaves it somehow changes to he never put the work in.

If you want, we can all stop talking until after the 1st regular season game. But if you're going to call out parroting, do it for both sides:

Arm talent, low ceiling, noodle arm, RB playing QB, can't read defenses, deep passing memes, JJAW's mom with an umbrella (how'd this one get in here?), 2nd round pick, replaced in Alabama, etc...

It's only been 4 months, we have 4 months of parroting left --- unless you have something new to add.

Where did I see improvement?  His completion percentage went up 10 points! He went from a 1-3 record as a rookie to a 8-7 record in his second year taking this team to the playoffs as the youngest QB in franchise history to do so.  Fumbles to me were my biggest concern about Hurts after his rookie year and he cut those down in a major way in his second season.  Interceptions too were down.  Developing into a quality QB takes time in the NFL.  Even after that the best QBs in this league are at their best when they are in their 30s past their physical primes.  It's because of the knowledge and experience they gain over time.  The areas of Jalen's game where he needs to make the most improvement are areas in his game where he absolutely can make that improvement.  There isn't a physical limitation stopping that.  There isn't an immaturity or lack of commitment to do that.  If Jalen Hurts was acting like Michael Vick was during his time in Atlanta just thinking he's arrived and he's great and he doesn't need to put any of the time in during the week or during the offseason and he can just show up on Sunday and just try to wing it every play.   That's not Jalen though.  Jalen is someone with tremendous work ethic with a chip on his shoulder whose entire focus and devotion in life is to improving as a QB.  That is someone to be optimistic about, not hatefully pessimistic.  

Vick could do all of that because he was fast and had a rocket of an arm. Hurts does not have that kind of arm and he wont

Hey thanks for checking in. I’m calling him out because he specifically calls out the hive mind, parroting, echo chamber etc all the time except he does it all too. Also resorts to "we are racist if we don’t love Hurts”. At least one parroting has actual examples of on the field plays. The other parroting is intangibles and cliches.

I never claimed the Patriots preseason defense had a ranking. I said preseason predictions (not predictions about the preseason, but about the upcoming season before it began) had the Patriots secondary ranked as one of the top units in the NFL. I never, ever claimed that joint practices were more important than even preseason games. In fact, if you do a thorough search of my posts, you'll find I criticized the notion. But I did laud some of the individual highlights from the joint practices.

Hey guys, Mazarati Mitch improved his completion percentage 7.2% from year one to year two, HOF here we come.

In all seriousness, he started at 59.4 and improved to 66.6.  He improved from Hurts improvement to actual NFL QB.

What specifically is out there to prove he’s the hardest worker out there and he works so much harder than the majority of NFL players that it’s somehow an advantage in his trajectory? Did Nate Sudfeld not put in the work, which is why he didn’t succeed? Tim Tebow had a tremendous work ethic, why didn’t he pan out? 

There’s a very big difference between parroting statements based off actual gameplay and parroting statements that are empty cliches.

This is one of the reasons I rarely participate in the blog. The other is because it's too often not about the Eagles. I prefer specific topics, but this board isn't really active enough in those at times. 

I am shocked Christian Ponder is not a HOF QB.  Added 8 points to his completion percentage from year 1 to year 2.

Hurts and the secondary are the two question marks.  All the arguing in the world won't tell us anything, just have to wait until September.
