The 76ers have had many lottery picks and only Embiid to show for it.  They just aren't run very well.  I understand the Simmons pick as you'd think he could at least develop some kind of jump shot and he had a ton of potential.   But i never understood the hype on Fultz.

I know many probably won't agree but maybe it's time to trade Embiid.  Athletic guards and wings are what wins in the NBA, not centers even as talented and gifted as Embiid is.  If the right deal was offered I'd consider trading him now while his value is high.

I wasn’t sure if you guys knew or not but the only reason Hurts didn’t throw to Smith wide open every play was bc Smith really struggled against press coverage. Not enough time behind one of the best OL in the NFL to hit him on multiple deep throws. 
 

What a joke of a take.  Smith created more separation on a higher percentage of routes than any Eagles receiver I can remember other than TO.  Again - this was behind an elite OL (which I don’t think will be as dominant this year), and Hurts had no idea what was happening or where to throw it.

Hmm I dunno. I know Troy Aikman kept circling Smith and how far off TB was playing him in the playoff game and kept saying "why aren’t they throwing it to him?” but I think that was all Fox CGI

No we actually discussed this over on the Sixers thread on this board the over the past couple days. I actually brought a couple of weeks ago. Sixers wouldn’t never do it unless embiid asks out. Which i don’t see happening until after next year or the year after. This some logic in it if you believe they are stuck in this purgatory due to lack of assets and cap space. And believe you can’t get yourself to build around him and he’s gonna ask out anyway.

Tebow regressed year to year.  Hurts hasn't done that.  Since he first started playing as a freshman he has continued to improve year to year.  He has yet to regress he has so far only progressed year to year.  Maybe not to the instantaneous rate that you so desire but he has progressed nonetheless.

How great would it be if Hurts actually did become a great passer? I’d be elated. It’s possible, I guess. But I think it’s safe to say he’ll never be a great passer. You don’t just start reading defenses in an offseason. Or all the sudden have a strong arm. Deep ball accuracy could conceivably improve. Maybe going from one read to two. But I don’t see him all the sudden going through all his progressions from a clean pocket. The best we can realistically expect is two reads, and some extended play making where he maybe keeps his eyes downfield instead of running. But that’s still not what I’d prefer in a QB.
