The almighty d-bag allowed it.

Oh, by the way @austinfan, Hurts sucks.

The blog gets to decide by a vote of members in good standing at the conclusion of the season.  Hurts would need affirmative from a majority of the members.

I mean I don't see a playoff win as a real factor unless he throws for 6TD and 400 yards in the game. He needs to show a ceiling that he hasn't shown yet as a passer.

Agreed but I don't think he can

I tried to up the swag at my wedding and sent an invite to the eagles. Got this back

This guy is such an idiot.  Showing a 2 yard loss as a reason the Eagles needed different personnel to run their defensive system.

If dr. Strange 2 taught us anything there’s a multiverse where the lions are actually good. It’s just not this one. But this dude on Twitter might be from a different earth multiverse

I hate the idea of giving won/loss records to QBs in spite of how important they are, but since the subject is being brought up…

Garoppolo (sp), was the "winning QB” in Green Bay last year, and he led them to zero TDs. I realize winning the way San Fran did is not common place, but it’s not unheard of either. If that’s the best we can get out of Hurts, that isn’t good enough.

Been saying for awhile it's stupid to give QBs a win-loss record.  Should only apply to the franchise and head coaches.

Baker Mayfield had a game 2 years ago where he threw 2 picks, 0 TDs and the Browns won so he gets credit for a win.

But, Baker had a rushing TD, and I keep hearing in this very blog that rushing TD's count the same as passing TD's.

Jessie Bates hasn't signed his tender yet. Wonder if Howie hasn't done anything post draft because he's keeping one eye on that situation.

I doubt Howie would give up draft picks on top of mega money for a safety, but you never know.

Where "in this very blog" are you noticing substantial Hurts support? This place turns into an anti-Hurts jerk sesh every other day

Which is why I hardly bother participating anymore. It's just tiresome.

I have to disagree with you. The NT was completely washed out on this play. He's right about Gannon not having the personnel. All the same, it's a system Gannon wants to run and this is part of the installment process. Tuipilotu is not an NFL NT but Davis is. Add in Reddick and Dean and you have a completely different defense, even with the same scheme.

Agreed.  It's a domino effect.  If Davis can effectively 2-gap, then it is easier to keep both safeties back in base while still being effective against the run.  Then that makes it easier for the CBs to attack shorter routes, which impacts RPO and play action on early downs.  All of which lead to third and long, which makes it easier for your pass rush to be effective.  Voila!

I agree Tuipolotu gets knocked 5 yards back by the combo block and if he doesn't it's possible Hargrave makes the play in the backfield.  You can also see how this would allow Cox and Hargrave to be on the field and be in a role where they can better attack the backfield.

Hurts Vs. Tua. Battle for the 20th best QB in the NFL.

And only one can come away undefeated.

I have the feeling when all is said and done, we are going to end up looking really stupid letting Dallas get Parsons.

The Bengals also drafted Daxon Hill.
