The Charger defense sucked, but the Eagle defense was protected by the running game, get into shoot outs and they give up a lot more points. Not saying Hurt is as good as Hebert, but I doubt Hebert gets last year's Eagle team past 10 wins. He only won 9 in SD with better skill players. You conveniently left out Goedert & the top 5 Oline we have. Smith & Goedert both go over 1k yards last year if Herbert was their QB. Quez probably would've had 800+. Herbert threw for almost 2000 more yards & over twice as many TD's as Hurts. I can assure you the chargers weapons arent THAT much better than the eagles. Herbert is simply that much better than Hurts. I have no doubt he would've still thrown for 4200+ yards & 30+ TD's with DeVonta, Goedert, Quez, Reagor, Ward, Sanders & Gainwell. We would've cruised to 10 wins with Herbert last year because we wouldnt have lost to the 49ers, Chargers or Giants.
May 18, 20223 yr since we are not allowed to post about jalen hurts until sept, and everything else is racist. ill just post this then

Nick papa georgio Flip the channel whenever any Indiana Jones or Star Wars appear. The first hour of Stripes is a classic half movie

Four of the Charges losses the defense gave up to 34 or more points, there is two games on the Eagles schedule that Justin Herbert clearly would’ve won that Hurts did not

This guy talks a big game, but anybody who had a bad word to say about hurts after the playoff loss he has on ignore. Pretty much proof positive he doesn’t believe his trolling.

We wouldn’t of had to do that with a real quarterback like Justin Herbert. Games change when the pressure is on the other quarterback when they know you have a guy that can put points on the board.

The Chargers are in the best division in football, Eagles the worst. The Chargers beat the Chiefs, Raiders, and Bengals, who did the Eagles beat? The Broncos, the Chargers had to play them twice, like the Eagles played the Giants twice. Herbert is twice the passer Hurts is, but to make it fair, let’s look at a similar, but still better Hebert.

Chargers were 13th and 20th. Eagles were 3rd and 2nd) and PFF ranked the eagles were 4th and chargers were 10th. Add on goedert is a better tight end then Jared cook. Can say whatever we want the chargers offense against 9 playoff teams scored 29.8ppg. Their defense gave up in those same 9 games 26.4ppg. comparatively in the 6 (excluding Dallas week 18) games against playoff teams 29.8. With the chargers their defense early in the year was healthy and played well. First 3 games against playoff teams was weeks 2-4 gave up 19.3 ppg and the offense averaged in those three games 25 ppg. Once they had injuries on their defense and the season continued their defense just got worse they gave up 29.8 ppg. But the offense was actually much better the last 6 games against playoff teams as they averaged 32.2 ppg.

I’d point out against raiders, chiefs and bengals the chargers offense averaged 31.8 ppg. And went 3-2. Two games they lost they scored 32 and 28 (lost both in overtime — second raiders game the only reason they had a shot to win or make playoffs was Justin herbert). Defense gave up 34 and 35 points.
