Bradberry IMO, is a get over the hump, need a final piece to win the SB kind of signing. His future is not with the Eagles. I'm sure he'll help the Eagles secure pick 18 but if Howie really wanted to see all of his investments in young CB develop then this is a mistake. I look at it more this way. Technically the eagles can get out of slay’s contract next year as a post June 1st cut and save 17.5 mil and 8.6 mil dead money. (Not likely imo). More realistically he’s likely gone at the end of 2023 when he’s 33 and more than likely declined. But if Bradberry winds up being good in this defense then you can extend him. he’s only 28 (going to be 29 august 4). Meaning when you move on from slay (likely 2024 season) you still have one starting corner that’s playing at a good enough/high level for another 2 maybe 3 years. Means you don’t have to fix two starting corner positions. The downside is if bradberry isn’t what they thought and slay declines then you have no clue what the young kids are and having to replace two starting corners.

Need to know what we have in the young corners before the next draft. Need to obviously replace Bradberry next year, and Slay in the near future. We need to get one of these young guys on the field to see what we have for the future.

Is it not almost exclusively from the capsaicin found in peppers? This product was marketed before the term 'hot sauce' was coined. Why should they change their name or even packaging? I'm going to need more convincing. Well traditionally Tabasco was used more like a spice as opposed to how Frank’s is used. Exposed to Louisiana pepper sauces early in my youth. Went to the bottle factory that made the bottles for Tabasco as a Cub Scout and made the pilgrimage to Avery Island as a kid with my folks. Tabasco is in a lot of Louisiana cooking. (BTW, Frank’s is a LA pepper sauce.) But as you know, I grow a lot of peppers. (BTW, seeding a pepper makes it milder. Since cooking down and reducing a sauce softens the seeds, I rarely seed the peppers for a sauce.) At least a third of my garden is for making sauces between peppers, tomatillos, tomatoes, garlic, onions and herbs. That’s why I encourage others to make their own sauces instead of relying solely on store bought. Same with rubs. Marinades.

May 18, 20223 yr I can't believe the "realists" are throwing cold water on this move. Where TF are you getting an above average 29-year-old starting CB for $7 million guaranteed?

I don't think it would be a great idea to bank on him for the next 4 to 5 years. CB declines are hard to predict, they usually fall off a cliff fast.

But he also has much more talent to work with and guys that fit his system then he had last year. I’d add think the experience from last year will help. to me the difference between the eagles being a legit contender or not likely comes down to Hurts and how much he can improve as a passer. I see the defense at least being competent unlike last year against good teams

May 18, 20223 yr $7.5 million puts Bradberry in the 18/19 range for corners cap hits. Jalen Mills is somehow 28th with a $6 million cap hit...

May 18, 20223 yr Appalled gents. Not one mention so far of Bradberry having 33.38 arm length putting him in 96 percentile.

Let Miles walk for the comp pick ( hopefully ) and let Gainwell, Brooks and Scott be the future at RB. And before you start in about Scott, he is fine as the 3rd RB, and always gets it done when his number is called.

I don’t think he’s a starter in this league but i do think he’s a nice backup that can spot start like he did for ekeler the last couple years. And he’s only 26 and a good receiver out of the backfield as well. Plays special teams.

The downside is if bradberry isn’t what they thought and slay declines then you have no clue what the young kids are and having to replace two starting corners. I see your point and but the Eagles have had Troy Vincent/Bobby Taylor followed by Lito/Sheldon then Asante Samuel/Sheldon Brown and you had Jalen Mills and Ronald Darby. The Eagles have always had two young or in their prime CB together or at least in a position to grow together. Vincent was brought in at 26 and paired with Taylor at 22. Lito and Sheldon were brought in during the same rookie class and grew together. Asante was 27 when he was brought here with Sheldon when he was 29. Mills and Darby were both 23 in 2017. I look at the defensive backfield like the O-Line. Cohesion and continuity are SO important. You want the same O-line to be paired together for years to come. Look how the Eagles are lined up to potentially have Mailata, Dickerson, Jurgens as the cement blocks of the O-line for the next decade. The d-backs have been a revolving door and a mess. In your example, when Slay is gone and Bradberry is 30...who does he pair with? the next 28 year old 1-year contract guy who's a Band-Aid? Same with safety...there's no youth there and they will continue to roll in 1-year deal veterans. We've been spoiled with having those defensive backfields that stayed together. I think it's important that they try to build a young group that can grow and excel together. No more of these fix it plans.
