Roster now. I think Ridley is talented and good. i also think he’s overrated in terms of people thinking he’s a no. 1. He had a great 2020 season. But every season surrounding that he’s been good not great. I get julio jones taking up a bunch of targets the first two years. But it also benefitted having julio there as well so he wasn’t seeing the best corner. Plus you have to deal with whatever he had going on last year and decision making going forward considering he’s the only player to get busted for gambling since it’s become legal in most states

2020 Julio only played 9 games, and was in and out of the lineup when he did play.  Ridley balled out because of Ridley, not because of Julio.

So far at least, but unbiased doesn't describe jsb235 - at all😃.

How am I biased? Because I don't spend all day on a message board bashing the team's qb and pushing the idea that Carson Strong and Gardner Minshew would be far better options? Because that doesn't make me biased.

If Hurts works out, fine. If Carson Strong wins the starting job, fine. If Minshew wins the starting job, fine. If we draft someone next year, fine.

Please quote one post where I want Hurts to play over someone better than him at scoring points or moving the ball down the field, because it doesn't exist.

Your bias shows when you wanna compare Hurts to rookies and Tua, but not Burrow, Herbert or the 2nd leading QB in rushing yards last year, Josh Allen.

r/eagles - Complete and return at your earliest convenience

The above is stupid, still have cap issues going forward, and keep having to sign 1 year bandaid deals to cover for the deficiencies in drafting.

Okay, he's not as good as Allen, Burrow or Herbert. So am I unbiased now?

I think aj brown is a better wr. He’s also been the no. 1 wr for a couple years now in a run first offense.

I think I agree. Just crazy the butterfly effect of Ridley doing a stupid parlay and how much it changed this teams offseason

I think that’s the only year he did. I don’t expect him to play at that level again. I actually think aj brown is a better WR. If he had Matt Ryan i think he does that. He put up good stats in a run first offense as the no. 1 receiver with Ryan tannehill

You are getting there, why is he not as good as these guys ??

IIRC Ridley was already trying to push his way out of Atlanta before any of the mental health/gambling issues came to light.  I was always "No thanks" on him.

Yup said same thing during the draft you just did. Ridley being a dope might have saved the eagles from the issue he had prior to the gambling issue.

Because they generate more yards and more points.

He finally got some WRs after how many failures? He has to fix bad contracts that he himself has created

Lol at forgiving everything because of 2 offseasons

yeah and lets just forget about the roster that was built that won a SB. He made mistakes but has rebounded nicely.

So we are weighing

Brown, Jurgens and Bradberry vs

Calvin Ridley, Marcus Williams, 18th pick ( Trent McDuffie/Kaiir Elam ) and the 101st pick ( Jeremy Ruckert, Channing Tindall, Leo Chanel, Logan Bruss )

I think I would take the second option

No thanks on Ridley. I take option 1 all day. Brown>>Ridley, and CB>S.

If people want to compare hurts to Tua  go right ahead. I think hurts is better than Tua as i think Tua isn’t very good. He’s a fringe starter imo. Maybe with new weapons he looks better i just don’t see him as a long term option to winning a super bowl either for the dolphins. Frankly I didn’t like Tua when he came out. I thought he was overrated, didn’t have great arm strength, he was highly accurate but also played with the best oline, WRs and Rbs in college and he had the injury .

That happened 5 years ago now. What has he done since then and what timeline do you expect a SB with this current team?

Same. Jurgens can be a perfect heir to Kelce also

Let me know when the eagles win a playoff game...

The only props I'll give Howie is he has had back to back good drafts, acquiring draft capital in future drafts (1st in 2023 and a 2nd in 2024), and the acquisition of Brown.

🤣 We finally win a SB and you act like we should be in it every year. The fact that Wentz was supposed to be the guy and collapsed with an aging roster, we are set up nice now. If Hurts gets good or we find one next year we are good to go. Reagor was a failure but get over it.
