I'm sorry I brough such a depressing topic into the blog.  A little back story without too much detail. I met my friend 12 years ago during an AF commissioning program. He was on top of the world

Fun fact, Texas Pete is made and originated in Winston Salem NC.  It’s a go to of mine.  I need to find this.

Found it at Harris Teeter. Will check to see if it's stocked at Publix and Food Lion.

Had it tonight with a Costco rotisserie chicken. It had me tearing up, and my tolerance for hot sauce is pretty high.

Same great vinegary flavor of Texas Pete but at least 5-10 times spicier.

The talk of hot sauces in here got me inquisitive to try some new ones.

Bought this one at the local Harris Teeter.

Texas Pete Hotter Sauce

Was pleasantly surprised by how hot it was. A solid 8/10. Sinus decleaner. Wow.

I make my own with home grown low acid tomatoes and hot peppers. I smoke an onion, bulb of garlic and the tomatoes when still green. Add cilantro, Dijon mustard, brown sugar, vinegar and a combination of spices. Occasionally I’ll infuse it with horseradish for a different flair. The hint smoke is unique. Peppers used have ranged from jalapeños to ghost.

Howie has the capacity to be elite.  The past 16 months demonstrate that.

The three year before that, though, make it hard to fully buy in.

We'll see.  The trend is encouraging.

That sounds amazing! That flavor profile of smoky, spicy, sweet, and savory appeals to every taste bud.

Have never tried to make my own hot sauce. Will have to try making one over the summer.

I’ve never reduced it so the finished product is a little thick as compared to most sauces but like you said the flavor is remarkable. I have a trick when it comes to preserving it for a longer period if you do a large batch. Shoot me a PM if you have any questions on ingredients, etc.

Take this, throw in chef Paul's blackening fish seasoning, two zested oranges and their juice. When we ran out of the house made stuff, I would use these for our volcano wings (ran a tiki restaurant at the beach). Heat it all until it blends. If you add a little liquid butter, it coats everything perfectly

Where was I getting excited?  It's May in the offseason.  I'm just posting some QB1 footage.

I can admit Hurts is an attractive guy. He needs to play as good as he looks.

Kinda forced and ****y IMO

Based on this offseason, good draft, FA signings and trades, the only thing left is for Hurts to get injured week 14 at Chicago, RTK declares the season ended the moment Hurts was injured, Carson Strong will take over and the rest will be history.

Off-topic, but any car nuts in here? Specifically car finance/dealership savvy people. I currently have a 2019 Volkswagen GLI with 16,000 miles on it. Lease isn't up until next May, but I was looking to get another car. I reached out to my local BMW dealer for an X3 M40i and they offered a 36 month, 12k miles, $2500 down, for $1041/month proposal. The issue is that with the supply chain delays, they wouldn't be able to build it until August and by that time it would be the 2023 model where the price may go up/change.

Also, with my current VW lease, would the dealership offer to buy my lease out due to the demand for used cars at this time? Or should I just ride out my current VW lease until after the summer closer to when the lease is up?

I’d ride it out and sell it if you’re looking to maximize value on it. Just got 23,500 for a 2017 GTI manual with 60k on the clock, and a few tasteful mods. Apr s1, clutch, short throw. Traded it in on a ‘22 R, and dealers are desperate for used cars right now. Deals out there to be had.

got a stupid offer for my 2016 S4 garage queen that I’ll never sell but was enough to make me think about it.

I’d also expect delays in anything you order now. Especially from Europe.
