Eagles have been reluctant to have an Assistant GM for years. Wonder if it's a play to keep Weidl (and maybe his brother is just a F up 🤷‍♂️).

Any real journalist should figure out what happened besides putting out a suggestive tweet on Twitter for a reaction. Maybe he doesn’t want the job, maybe he bombed the interview, maybe his vision doesn’t align with the analytical approach Eagles want, maybe Eagles think he’s over qualified and don’t want to fill the position next year, maybe Colts want to promote him, maybe he thinks Hurts sucks, maybe he’s racist, maybe he doesn’t want to live here, maybe he showed up hungover.

Players gravitate to him.  A natural born leader.  They want to play for him as much as they want to play for themselves.

Best PHI Offense: 2013

BEST PHI Def: 1991

Best PHI ST: 2001

The 1991 Defense is the highest% by a mile, next closest is the 1986 Bears at 33.6%

I don’t know how DVOA works but how was the 2013 offense better than 2004 and 2017?

DVOA is a method of evaluating teams, units, or players. It takes every single play during the NFL season and compares each one to a league-average baseline based on situation. DVOA measures not just yardage, but yardage towards a first down: Five yards on third-and-4 are worth more than five yards on first-and-10 and much more than five yards on third-and-12. Red zone plays are worth more than other plays. Performance is also adjusted for the quality of the opponent. DVOA is a percentage, so a team with a DVOA of 10.0% is 10 percent better than the average team, and a quarterback with a DVOA of -20.0% is 20 percent worse than the average quarterback.

As far as 2004 and 2017 is concerned. 2004 is not even a top 10 all-time Eagles offense.

Comparing 2013 and 2017:

2013 was 4th in points and 2nd in yards that year.

2017 was 3rd in points and 7th in yards that year.

DVOA basically takes every play including down, distance, quarter, opposing defense, score etc and compares it vs all other teams in similar scenarios. No idea how they come up with the score but they essentially are saying 2013 was more efficient than the other years. It takes more factors into consideration but is still not a perfect stat as the 2017 team can’t choose who they played against.

Awesome, he has a future in coaching. Until then he can hold a clipboard.

I know you’re joking, but I doubt a player who isn’t smart enough to get to a 2nd read, can offer much as a coach.

There is a difference between preference and judgment. I never saw the attractiveness of Mona Lisa, but - well ... different Era.

Barbara Billingsley was considered attractive in her day. Not Marilyn but attractive non the less - and definitely had that 50s MILF vibe as Joan Cleaver.

Like Mona, Barb is before my time. As I posted, I've never seen the attractiveness in Mona, I only know what I've been told. I don't see the point in passing judgment on previous Era preferences. It's disrespectful and pretentious. But have at it. I've spent far too much time on this topic.

I agree, even though he's only been here a few months, Pascal has transformed the WR room.
