People who switch last names on jerseys are garbage people. Anyone who puts "Brown” on a Wentz jersey is just an effing piece of trash. Get a job, bum. And it’s not funny or clever.

Hotter take...

Grown men that are that concerned about football jerseys to begin with probably need to sort some things out.

I'm in the same boat. I will keep mine as is, and wear it as the occasion allows, as a commemorative of the SB year.

I have a Foles jersey that I do for that.  Especially with how Wentz left, I kind of don't want to be seen with a Wentz jersey any more.

Playing more two high should enable tighter coverage no? Even if not press i would still like to get away from giving big cushions to the wr

Not when the two high start 20 yards back and the LBs are tight in the box.  Leaves too much of a gap.  More speed at LB and better coverage traits will help but that huge cushion needs to tighten as you said. The problem with Dennard’s "choose your own cushion” approach is if Harris is comfortable with a 20 yard cushion when playing deep and you have a chase LB like Singleton, there is too much of a gap. I really like TJ but there can’t be a gap of more than ten yards between him and the S behind him.   I have confidence that Wilson, McDonald and Rallis are looking at film this offseason and tightening the gaps.

Thanks man. I'm emotional broken

Haven't had a drink in almost 800 days. 732 to be exact. But I'm gonna drink tonight .

I lost my best friend in the whole world. I could have helped him. I should have done more.

F I hate this world.

I've had to deal with Churchill's "Black dog" my whole life.

Some is probably biochemical, imbalance of brain chemicals, some is contextual.

Cognitive therapy taught me how to recognize the lies depressed people tell themselves through their distorted lens of perception.

But it is always a struggle, when things go well in life, the black dog sleeps, but adversity and loss awakens it. Exercise helps, but it's always there, lurking in the background.

You shouldn't beat yourself up, if you were a good friend, that's as much as you could do - people have agency, you can help them to some extent but in the end they have to seek help and want to change, whether it's dealing with depression, alcoholism/drug abuse (often starting as self-medication), and other self-destructive behavior. It's actually depressive like thinking to beat yourself up over "coulda, woulda, shoulda" - none of us really know what's going on in someone else's head, at best we have clues. Hindsight is always 20/20 but often depressed people learn to put on a brave front that is difficult to penetrate.

Smh wtf Schefter, there's only one reason he bothered tweeting about this dude...

I cant read the Inquirer but here is a snippet of the article posted on BGN

Sixteen months ago, I wrote this about Eagles general manager Howie Roseman:“... let King Howie rule. Give him a free and terrible hand. Diminish his ‘advisers.’ Give Howie the scouts’ information, let the coaches have their input, then sit back and let Roseman reign.” According to two NFL sources, that’s exactly what has happened. The early returns seem good. Often the least popular figure in Philadelphia sports, Roseman is riding a wave of support unlike any he has ever enjoyed, even as his staff undergoes a massive upheaval. [...] If you like the job he’s doing, then give him full credit, because, according to the sources, today he’s less influenced by others than ever. That includes his boss, owner Jeffrey Lurie. Since the Eagles fired Doug Pederson and hired Nick Sirianni in January 2021, Lurie has stepped back, shut up, and given Roseman free rein. Roseman has run with it.

I rarely wear a jersey now.  Once you get past a certain age…..it‘a not a great look.  I’m thinking 45 is the cut off.  So many other nice pullovers, golf shirts and tee shirts to wear.  Big game maybe.  Like a postseason game with a real QB for example.

Sweet.  I've still got a little bit of time to pretend I'm 19.

I am waiting for the Super Bowl 57 jersey after he pulls a Nick Foles.

Every owner in the league is involved with the team decision-making. Some are way more involved than others (Jerry Jones, Mike Brown, David Tepper). Having Lurie in the room asking questions is a positive.

Yeah, not so much.

Thanks. Like I said before. I'm numb, other that the phone call with his mom, who was like a second mom to me, I haven't even cried...yet. I know it will be worse tomorrow. I can't even look at my face ook fee because it's just people over and over offering condolences. It's just too hard to look at.

Hey, I just entered this thread and read about your friend.  I'm so sorry for your loss.  There are no words to relieve your grief, but remembering good times and laughs always seems to help bring the emotions out so you can deal with it better.  Hang in there.....

Yup.  Taking one's life is just about making things all about them.  Every person who commits suicide is clearly a narcissist.  :nonono:

I think people who commit suicide typically have a serious illness that makes them feel like it is the only way out of their pain. While the act can be self-centered, that is not usually the perspective of the person committing the act.  From their view, it is about ending suffering including the burden they place on others.  It is not typically an act that the person committing thinks they are doing to others to aggrandize themself as you would expect with a narcissist.

What? Running the ball always translates. We just need someone else passing the ball.

That one is actually funny.

Yeah.  Didn’t I just say, Big game?  But until we get a QB, how "big” will the games be?  Let’s be honest.

Guess I should have clarified, Monday night, vs Cowboys, pretty much if I am going to be in public and the Eagles are playing.

You don’t qualify as a pillar.  Delusional, yes.  Pillar, no.  Sorry.  Be gone.

I don't know.  Having Lurie push the team to draft JJAW is bad.  Having Lurie committed to winning and being willing to spend is good. I mean a big part of being able to work out a contract is understanding the team's finances.  I would assume that Lurie has to be involved in those decisions.  I also think players like owners that are approachable and friendly.

5 minutes ago, 4for4EaglesNest said:

Approachable and friendly is one thing, but not required.  They are all adults.  Starting an season off with a press conference strictly about covid and social justice topics is another thing.  You need to be the CEO of the company.  Not everyone's pal.  Walking the practices and then meeting with the GM and HC during the week to review decisions made in the previous game is a little much as well.  Just because he's a nice guy and not Daniel Snyder doesn't mean what he was doing was right.  He said it himself after he fired Chip, he was "taking his franchise back'.  He over-corrected and then felt emboldened when the miracle of 2017 happened.  Obviously you want the owner to be committed to winning.  That goes without saying.  He doesn't need a whistle and New Balances to do so.  The less we see and hear from the Owner the better.  Being a good owner/CEO/manager, is also letting the people below you do their job.

We can all recall Gannon and Sirianni saying they didn't want to get beaten over the top, hence the deep safety alignment. We didn't have the LBs or the CBs to compensate. It appears we do now. Further, we have a DL that can control the opponent's running game (or so we hope). We have two good CBs and a good slot DB. The safeties may not be all-pro but they don't have to be. They have to read and support, not make up for weaknesses.
