So you have no idea what the job is or does but still want to complain.

Do you know what any of these people do ???

Yes I want to complain about the hire.  That isnt obvious to you?

My point has been made, I dont need an extended Q & A.

Its obvious hes not qualified because hes never held an actual job for the team.  Has he?

I mean I have seen attorneys with no experience go and represent people who will go to jail if they f'up.  He's a college graduate.  He's done a 2 year developmental program with the NFL.  He's not in the GM role. It sounds like he's doing some forecasting work that he will run by others and then help plan around it.  I doubt he has any wholesale authority to make decisions for the  club. It is not like he's going to be making the calls in the draft room.

Actually, you have made no point.  A kid who went to one of the top universities in the world, who has gone through NFL exec training, and his father owns the team got a job with the team, and will one day be the owner of the Eagles.  He has also been involved with the team his entire life, and has had other roles.

How would you have implemented him into the team to groom him to take over if you were Jeff Lurie ??

First time dad question. My baby is coming early August and was wondering if anyone had any tips for Sundays. Did any fathers in here make deals/schedules with their wives during Eagles games?

Congrats and family first

I don’t get why people are complaining about Julian. He’s going to be the owner either way. There’s no downside to having him in the FO learning how things operate. Rather he makes mistakes now while he’s not the final decision maker.

Maybe the US government will own the Eagles if nobody wants to pay the taxes.

Yup

I don't know what kind of marriage agreement they have but the team under normal laws would pass to his wife without being applicable to inheritance tax.

Or Lurie has a will and irrevocable trusts that specify beneficiaries.

Am I wrong for wanting to leave this sports clips I’m waiting at because the lady cutting hairs has a huge gut and looks like a fat slob?   In order to cut my hair, she’ll have to extend her short arms. Should I sneak a pic?

First and last time I've ever gone to a Sports Clips the girl slipped and mowed a good chunk of my beard off when doing my sideburns. F that place.

Mostly jealousy and communist thinking.

I don't believe in nepotism. The baby should watch itself

I remember many an Eagles game with my newborn daughter asleep on my chest.  Congrats buddy.

Just saw that Fitzmagic is retiring

NFL Game Pass is a good investment.  Also, watch the game with your kid.  When they're an infant it's not like they're going to far.

Bread lines

It could impact a lot, actually.  People may start to question if the organization is really hiring the most qualified individuals or just friends/family when they need a gig.

People arent going to stick around if they start to think the owner is making decisions in the best interest of his family instead of the organization.

Maybe there is an employee who had their eye on this job, who actually worked up the ladder and didnt get placed into a phony training program or get sent off to harvard.  You think theyre staying with the team?

Is this the most urgent thing ever?  No.  But its a bas decision and its indicative of the type of thinking thats going on in the novacare.

We havent exactly been great at retaining executive talent, either.

Did your dad not leave you his deep fryer basket or mining helmet to carry on his legacy? Like the amount of vitriol you have for a business owner integrating their family into the business, which literally happens with almost EVERY family business in history, is beyond laughable. Like I said earlier, you're bitter and jealous. Nothing more, nothing less. Be less poor.

I dont need to know the function!  Thats not the point.

The fact that they created this out of thin air doesnt really help your argument.  In fact, it makes me question whether it's a true need for the organization.   Again, goes back to my statement, its the Philadelphia Eagles and not the Philadelphia Luries, and if Jeff wants to continue acting in the best interests of his family instead of the organization, we'll be no better than the Commanders.

And having your front office in a poor state absolutely affects the product on the field.  What the hell.

Waaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!

He'll have no viable answer.

Everything one needs to do with/for a baby one can do while watching football.

I grew up in Utah and would regularly go to BYU games that were televised on ESPN at like midnight and as most know Mormons have lots of babies and Instead of finding a sitter they pack that baby up and take em to the game, I never did but saw lots of babies at BYU games.🤷‍♂️
