Send me the org chart man, what the hell kind of question is this?   Its irrelevant.

Youre like assuming he MUST have a job in the organization somewhere because his last name is Lurie.  Like, he went to harvard.  Hes been hanging around all this time and he super duper loves the Eagles, so hmmm let me see here, where the hell can we put this guy?

Nowhere?  Ok the F it, we'll create a position for him

And you guys are all cheerleading this.

He will own the team one day.  He needs to know how to make it successful, so he will need to work for the team.  What should his first job be ??

The point of the Eagles is to win football games, not ensure Luries future generations have a cozy spot in the organization

And I love all the free psychoanalysis but I can promise you all Im doing just fine.  I just call a spade a spade.

The point of the Eagles is to make money for the owners and their family and to entertain us. They are succeeding, Lurie is passing on the team and you have entertained us all day about nothing. Seinfeld would be proud

Don't we have the next 50 years to talk about Julian Lurie?

I doubt I do

Luries son is not "learning the ropes" im this position.  Stop saying that.

Are you learning the ropes to run the company you work for?? No, youre doing your job that comes with its own responsibilities and requires specific experience and expertise.

If he was "learning on the job" he'd be an intern or assistant.  But hes not. He was given a job because hes the son of the owner.  Full stop

If youre fine with that, good for you.  I think its dumb.

You jealous bro?  Your dad not support you enough?

How dare you

You got yourself all riled up over assumptions.

I would like to see him with a job in accounting, finance, security, scouting, equipment, food service, ticket sales and fan experience....

I wouldnt care if he holds a job in each of those areas, and more over the next x amount of years till Lurie leaves it to him. He should do it all.

First time dad question. My baby is coming early August and was wondering if anyone had any tips for Sundays. Did any fathers in here make deals/schedules with their wives during Eagles games?

If by deal you mean "leave me the hell alone on game day" then yes

and congrats

That's the way it works now. When one person says something, it's the entire blog.

Just group everyone based on some kind of attribute.

Being the son of the owner of a company/organization has its benefits. Nothing wrong with it 🤷‍♂️

I don’t get why people are complaining about Julian. He’s going to be the owner either way. There’s no downside to having him in the FO learning how things operate. Rather he makes mistakes now while he’s not the final decision maker.

People aren't. Tolleo Trollerson is

Assistant to the Regional Manager

Why does he need/deserve to be involved??  Do you guys want Jerry Jones??  Because this is how you get Jerry Jones....

His "first position" should be whatever hes qualified to perform.  Right now, his duties should entail sitting up in his damn box sipping cocktails like all the other rich people.  If he needs football, scouting, or analytics help, he can hire someone actually qualified.

Going to harvard in and of itself doesnt qualify you for jack ish in the NFL. It just gives people something to tell the useful idiots to make them feel better.

Hanging around a locker room or on the field qualifies you for nothing.

Lurie saying that he allowed him to observe the coaching hires or whatever as a justification is a joke.

Divide and conquer.  We did shift work for the first 2 months or so but obviously that depends on how much time off you get off.  Kept us relatively sane.  So nothing wrong with asking for a block of time solo, just make it up to her by putting in time on Saturday or that night to give her time to do what she wants.

Congrats.

What experience did Howie Roseman have when he was brought in as a "Salary Cap Staff Counsel" ??

Should have been with us

Well now that the organization is even more doomed that Lurie's son works there I can't hold on that long

The blog has come full circle, time to shut it down

I'm bored at work until my son gets here and I give him a hell of a promotion

Why is that.  Because I pointed out the the current Eagles VP / GM came to the Eagles with no experience and was given a job to learn the ropes.  Still does not make me a Howie fan, but Julian being around the team is starting with more experience than the current team VP / GM.
