Curious to see what everyone’s top 10 QB arm strength in nfl history is. I found this article where they did it. I don’t think I’d have Allen and mahomes 1-2. Do believe Allen is in discussion for top 5. I’d personally probably have him in there.

I'm sorry I brough such a depressing topic into the blog.  A little back story without too much detail. I met my friend 12 years ago during an AF commissioning program. He was on top of the world

So did God

Been watching a pretty good Great Courses on the deification of Jesus (by a theology professor).  Excellent understanding of how leadership figures were deified in that time period.  I am hoping that he gets to Peter at some point and to a lesser degree, Paul, as both achieved a level close to a demigod status. One could argue the early church, mainly through Peter, was responsible for a lot of that and to a degree strengthened in the writings of Peter to raise his own status (and to a large extent responsible for the schism created between the Roman Catholic Church and the Eastern Orthodox Church.).

It's the year of Jalen.  He's a Bo Jackson level talent.

McCoy is a POS.  Always has been.  DJax is just that guy.  I’ll roll with McNabb.  Still talking about it over a decade later.  Big deal.

Fitting comparison considering Bo was a RB

As insane as it feels, it's Jamarcus Russell.

The man threw a 70 yard bomb while on his knees.

Josh Allen may be #1 for me. Just unreal arm talent.

Also I don’t think it’s just cause we are watching him play today. Sometimes we become prisoners of the moment. I just legitimately believe his arm is top 5 all time. I love the discussion though. He’s definitely in it for strongest arm of all time in the nfl

Ed Hochuli had the strongest arm in the game

Saw an interesting either or on Twitter.

I think I lean Vikings

Awesome. When you come back you can say you drove from America to Europe and back again.  Absolutely the friendliest foreign country I have been in.  Be sure to try the putrid shark.

Quez could've had a very similar game vs the Bucs. There were atleast 3 TD's that Hurts either overthrew or didnt see because he was locked on his 1st read or bailed a clean pocket.

0:25, 3:20, 4:20, 6:20 & 7:55 would've been TD's/big plays with Allen at QB. Im sure the Bucs coaches & players could see Watkins open all game on the tablet which probably prompted the famous "This guy cant read" quote.

Yup Watkins should have had at worst 150 yards and possibly 200 but hurts failed to get him the ball

Rice > TO > Moss > Carter > Deebo > Jefferson

They used to have a competition where various qbs would throw a ball as far as they could. Vinny Testaverde had the best throw in the competition from the late 80s onward at 80 yards. In the 90s, Randall and Jake Plummer both threw a ball 76 yards. Allen and Mahomes both claim to be able to throw over 80 yards, but who knows.

Getting just a little carried away I think.

Joe Namath

Dan Marino

Jeff George

Mike Vick

John Elway

Brett Favre

Patrick Mahomes

Jim Hart

Dan Fouts

Darryl Lamonica

Dan Pastorini

Probably missed a few.

I grant top 10 but after that it’s a toss-up.

McNabb had a cannon...Randall had a long wind up but he had a gun as well.

Wrong.

Moss was better than TO. Jefferson is better than Deebo.

You also don’t get Montana/Young in this scenario.

Rice is the GOAT, hands down.  TO was a team killer.  Samuel's greatest asset is his YAC, not really his receiving.

Then again, for all the talk about Moss and what he'd do with Montana... Moss' game wouldn't have meshed with Montana.  Montana was all about timing and anticipation.  Moss was really best as a deep ball threat, which is why he meshed so well with Cunningham as a rookie.

I'd go 49ers over Vikings by a slim slim margin.  Rice gives them the edge.  Samuel is a bit of a handicap.

Moss was absolutely not better than TO.  TO produced everywhere he went and no matter who the QB was that was throwing to him.

Meanwhile Jefferson and Deebo is closer but there is no doubt that Deebo is a central part to the 49ers winning and being a team that not only gets to the playoffs but wins in the playoffs.  Meanwhile Jefferson puts up the stats but it hasn't really translated into winning and the Vikings have not been able to make the playoffs despite two years of there being a 7th seed.

49ers easily although I'd take JJ over Deebo.  But I think Rice and T.O. were better than Moss and Carter respectively.

It’s not about Moss with Montana, it’s about Rice/Moss with the same QB that’s not Montana. No argument that Rice is easily the best, but his pairing with Montana was perfection.

The big issue to me is what Moss are you getting. A motivated Moss is better than TO, but we’ve seen both sides of Moss.

Moss was a first ballot. Owens took years.

Owens took a year because the Hall of Fame voters are an absolute disgrace taking their personal vendettas into account for their votes.  TO was the 2nd best WR to ever play the game.

Wrong. It took him 3 years. And let’s pretend like Moss didn’t have the same vendettas lol.

It's a complete joke however long it took him.  Absolutely indefensible that he wasn't first ballot.
