I'm sorry I brough such a depressing topic into the blog.  A little back story without too much detail. I met my friend 12 years ago during an AF commissioning program. He was on top of the world

Over/Under Total Yards for Brown/Smith

Way under. 1,800 would feel like an accomplishment.

Hurts is arguably the best RB we’ve ever had. Name another that has thrown for 3000 yards in a season.

They used to have a competition where various qbs would throw a ball as far as they could. Vinny Testaverde had the best throw in the competition from the late 80s onward at 80 yards. In the 90s, Randall and Jake Plummer both threw a ball 76 yards. Allen and Mahomes both claim to be able to throw over 80 yards, but who knows.

Bear Bryant introduced Joe Namath to his Alabama team by having Joe stand on the 20 and throw kickoff practice to the opposite goal line.

It’s not a measure of strength but he and Marino had the quickest releases IMHO.

Moss was a first ballot. Owens took years.

Moss shouldn't have been first ballot.

Under because of the QB. I’ll be shocked if they go +2,000 together.

Calvin Johnson is the best WR I’ve ever seen from a talent perspective. He was like Moss and TO combined.

I think when Randy moss was motivated he's the most talented I've seen play, didn't always live up to that talent.

Calvin Johnson was good but for a guy of his talent could disappear from the end zone from time to time.

Still Jerry rice is at the top for me as he should be for anyone that ever saw him play.

He brought it every week and teams never had an answer for him.

Most talented eagles WR I'd say was Mike Quick, if he didn't get hurt he's probably in the HOF.

Megatron was on the dysfunctional Lions his whole career. Sure he had a good QB in Stafford but the organization is a joke.

I don’t mean this as a knock but if Jerry Rice gets drafted by the Lions, he’s not the greatest WR ever.

Who knows maybe Jerry rice turns that franchise around?

I'm not really into the what if conversations though, too many variables and unknowns, all I can go off is what did happen, And I understand your point.

Belichick on Bert Jones

Bert Jones, he could do just about anything he wanted to do. I bet he could throw it 100 yards. Yeah, I bet he could. It was like a slingshot. And he had so much flexibility in his shoulder. He did what I've never seen anybody do is when you were playing catch with him and he would be thrown the ball like this, Bert would release the ball back behind his head, like this, and you catch it and you kind of [say], 'Did he just throw that ball behind his head?' Because it happened so fast and you'd [say], 'Hey, can you do that again?'

Does anyone think the perp who fired in to the crowd in Philly last night and killed people will go turn his guns at the buy back event at the linc? I'll bet he will. This is really going to work!

He could throw but he had horrible OC that didn't coach him up at all.

Randall was clearly our RB 1 though back in the late 80's into 1990. 1990 alone over 900 rushing yards and still over 3k passing. lol.

The guy asked name another, well Randall was another :)

I just wish we had the Randall who was in Minnesota. With that run game they had on that team, receivers etc, Randall's best one year of his career.

Both Moss and TO should have been first ballot.  Owens had the production easily it's just he was a big knucklehead.  If he didn't run his mouth all the time, he'd have been a 1st ballot.

Why? He’s likely a starter on the all time NFL team

I’m a tiny bit surprised we haven’t gotten a Chase Daniel-type comment out of Minshew yet. He wanted out of Jax and chose Philadelphia because he had a shot at playing. Now it’s fairly clear they’ll run Hurts into the ground and just draft another guy a la Trevor Lawrence if Hurts doesn’t show out.

Maybe Minshew just likes it here. A lot of players weren’t super enthused with being in Jacksonville in the Coughlin years

Eh. The Rams had Donald and the Chiefs the season before had backup OTs playing so of course the Bucs DEs feasted.

So both defenses stepped up in the SB and were dominant.  Thank you for proving my point Poopmaster Flex.

It's possible he gets traded before the season if a starter on another team gets hurt and they need a replacement QB.
