Mayfield was better in college and has been better early in his career.  The fact that Hurts has  consistently sucked as a passer is to be used as evidence that he hasn’t hit his ceiling?

Hurts continues to improve season to season.  He has yet to not improve year to year.

Being a crappy passer and remaining a crappy passer with modest improvement is irrelevant.  He’d need a 30 year career at this rate.

But he’s only had one season in the NFL.  That’s what all of the Squirters tell us.  So it’s impossible for him to improve each year, since he’s only had one so far.

The newest one I’ve heard is that he’s only 23 and Tom Brady is 44. Gotta love these YouTubers.

Especially that time he improved so much that he got benched for Tua and had to transfer to another school

"It's my job to just go out there and play point guard," Hurts said. "Distribute the ball, get the playmakers the ball, and my plays will come."

No, your job is to be the QB.

Let the hurtscuses commence!

"The first one I had to break up on [Darius] Slay and the second one I told him, 'Anything you do, just overthrow me, I'm going to clear him late,' as I did, and he overthrew me," Brown said. "We're still working and we're still trying to get on the same page, but we're really heading in the right direction, so it's a positive.

He follows directions well at least

Even though it's the wrong sport, it's the smartest thing Hurts has said since he's been in the starting QB role.

Distributing the football is a huge improvement he needs to make.

Improving completion percentage by nearly 10% from one season to the next is not modest improvement.

This exchange belongs in all dictionaries alongside the definition of obtuse.

He had a 48% completion percentage his 1st year. He wasn't even ranked in 2020, 2021 he was ranked 28th overall. So he went from unranked to bottom tier. I guess that's technically improvement, but he would still need to make another sizable jump to 65% just to be in the top 20.

You know how they say to throw your hands in the air - and wave them like you just don't care?

Well, I refuse to do that.

You know why?

Because I just care TOO much, that's why!

Interest read...looking forward to the rest of the list and where the Reid Eagles end up.

Also, not sure how the John Brodie Niners ended up that low.

What do you expect him to say? The guy still sucks but he sucks a little less than he did last year?

Is your wife posting on your account again?

The fact that he had to improve almost 10 points to get above 60% is an issue.

Trevor Lawrence would only have to improve .4% from his rookie year to get to 60%.   And Lawrence threw a ton more passes as a rookie, in an entirely worse situation.  That fact that Hurts completed 52% as a rookie is the concerning part.  Fields 58.9%, Zach Wilson 55.6%.

Also, Hurts 52% was in limited time, generally the number are higher over a short stretch.

I'd expect reids eagles to be towards the top especially that 2004 team that was totally stacked and choked.

Broncos under Reeves, Browns under Schotenheimer.

Of course the Bills should be at the very top losing 4 super bowls in a row...
