We (the EMB) currently sit at just over 940,000 posts. We're on pace for about 40,000 posts for the month of May. So it's looking like we'll break 1,000,000 posts within the first couple of weeks of J

I think you're in for some heart break and disappointment.

Yes, I’ll be heartbroken that our #4 passing option didn’t fulfill his June EMB statistical prediction

Reggie

Dawk

Bednarik

All in Kelly Green.   Reggie's would be the 80's jersey.  Dawk's and Bednarik's would be the '60 championship version jersey.

I have Reggie in white and Dawn in midnight green and white. I don’t have a Bednarik though

Devonta Smith, no question. I cannot wait to see the WR he becomes whether it's Jalen throwing him the ball or not.

Was just going to say this.

He seems like a safe bet that he will be around in Philly for many years.  He just feels like a special talent.

With that said, he'll probably get traded within a year or 2 😄😄

My dark horse candidate for coach of the year is white Nick Sirianni.

Now I can't stop thinking about Black Sirianni

I don't think it's a big deal Sirianni gave up playcalling, but I am not excited at all for a Shane Steichen offense.

I dont think people realize how skewed the numbers were because of the first 7 games where NS was calling the plays and we thought we had a QB.

We had 494 attempts with 3600 yards. Would anyone be REALLY shocked if we ended up with 450 Attempts and 3300 yards? I wouldnt. Especially confirmed Streichen calling the plays.

Yet at the same time people like you are unable to comprehend that calling such a pass heavy offense were defenses don't need to care at all about the possibility of a running play being called results in nothing but putting the offense at a disadvantage.

Steichen has been calling plays since mid-season last year when the offense turned it around.

Yea, and it was a boring, predictable offense. That immediately stalled when playing a good team.

It comes from the Boomers, 1960 thought process where if they didnt have a knee injury in high school they would of made it pro. The guys who scream shoot when the flyers are on the powerplay, the ones who tell you they should bring back the full back and call into the local radio shows while shoving a hoagie into their mouths explaining how they'd do a better job than *Insert player whos playing bad*

And yes, we have such short minded people here that they are among us.

During game day threads I joke about being able to make the same amount of catches as Raegor for half the pay.

Logically, if the goal was to continue with the run heavy offense, you'd think we would have invested far more into the RB position. The attempts to replace Hurts, the investment in AJ Brown speaks to a push to pass far more than we did last year. The only kink in it all is the man distributing the ball, unfortunately. But I think there will be a concentrated effort to throw far more.

I want a team, and coach, that knows when to pass and knows when to run. A team can't win consistently without being able to switch it up.

Who cares? I mean it's a team game, it's not how many yards this or that receiver gains (it matters to them for ego and contract negotiations, but for fans?), it's how many yards and points the offense gains. Individual numbers will vary due to injury, game to game match-ups as well as individual skill. There's no dominant receiver on this team who has to get the ball, so it's likely yards will vary widely game to game depending on how defenses play them - match up Watkins against 4th CB scrubs and he may have a string of 100 yard games.

And how much they should pass is not just a judgement on Hurts, but on opposing defenses - if you're gaining 5+ yards per rush then why pass?

First, let a team show they can slow down the run game given the Eagles OL might be the best in the NFL. Then if they cheat up against the run, burn 'em.

We care, obviously. We enjoy talking about what our WRs might do this year, it's pretty normal for fans to do so. If it was up to you, the Blog would shut down from May to August basically.

I think that's the FO/Coaching disconnect. Lowie wants to pass more. It will be interesting to see if the Coaches follow suit even if it's to a detriment, or they lean on the run to win more games. Steichen is a run heavy coach. The biggest complaint from his Chargers days calling plays is they ran too much and didn't let Herbert deal.

If he runs over and over he will get hurt. He should run when it's an easy run and slide if the receivers are covered, but not all the time.

I dont think any of your predictions will be fulfilled.

D. Smith had a full year last year,  and didnt get 1000 yards.

Now you think you're gonna another WR1, Smith's production is gonna stay the same AND you're gonna find another 1200 yards with the worst passer in the league in a run heavy offense lol.

He’s the worst passer in the league now? I guess I wasn’t entirely sure what your agenda was when I responded to you

The Eagles aren’t paying AJ Brown 25 Mill per to run the ball, plus if anyone thinks they can just short change Smith and he’ll be thrilled, hasn’t paid attention to WR’s in the NFL over the past 15 years.  Or did some fans forget when Smith threw his helmet last year after the Giants game.   Plus the TB playoff game.
