I'm sorry I brough such a depressing topic into the blog.  A little back story without too much detail. I met my friend 12 years ago during an AF commissioning program. He was on top of the world

We (the EMB) currently sit at just over 940,000 posts. We're on pace for about 40,000 posts for the month of May. So it's looking like we'll break 1,000,000 posts within the first couple of weeks of J

A lot of talk about if Hurts doesn't work out we draft one in next years draft.  Do you think we might trade those 2 first rounders for an established top 10-15 QB... If so which one(s) do you think we could realistically obtain?

No one. There's only so many top QB's and the ones that wanted out were already traded.

What about unproven QB's who have not played the requisite 57 games to be considered a franchise QB yet, that we could probably get on the cheap.

If Hurts doesn't progress enough this year to the point where the Eagles are looking for a new QB, if they go the veteran route it looks like at this time the best one that could potentially be available in a trade would be Lamar Jackson.

Interesting. He should only need limited mobility to move around the pocket and not running 50 yards at a clip anyway.

On a side note, I have the same thing in my ankle when I was a kid and it just took some time in a case and crutches to get it fixed.

This article has already been determined to be non-credible. It is an opinion from a doctor who admits not knowing Strong's personal history, nor been examined. Just another opinion stated as fact.

Yes, the article is his opinion, however, the study by the American Journal of Sports Medicine is fact.

Are those patients playing at the highest level of the NFL?

Gainwell is 200, Scott 203.  People always underestimate Scott’s bulk given how short he is. Really solidly built and great center of gravity. Wouldn’t be surprised if Gainwell has added some muscle this offseason. So Huntley is the only sub 200 lb back.  Pre concussion and "retirement” Calcaterra was probably a Day 2 pick. Not scrubs but a decent back upmTE competition. You left off Jackson, although likely a PUP to start the year.

And who can forget AFan’s correct prediction of JJAW to TE.  (Last one a bit tongue in cheek).

Is that their playing weight though? 200 lbs is still light for a NFL RB, especially when that's their max. I wasn't as impressed with Gainwell as a lot of others were, but he was by far the best receiving RB and hopefully that is something the team uses more.

Yeah, but what kind of cohesiveness do you think the OL he is playing behind will have?  Against DEs and DTs that are trying to show pass rush moves worthy of a bottom of the roster/PS spot.  Easier to play DL than OL in a scrum.  Plus, in the passing game a lot depends on timing and route accuracy. Of the list playing with Strong, only Ward and maybe Cain and Hightower are likely to fit that.  Doesn’t bode well for a not very mobile QB.  What will be interesting is who plays first, Sinnett or Strong.  They will likely battle some early in TC.

Yup, defense is usually ahead of offense this time of year.

Makes for ugly football.

A doctor doesn't need to have examined Strong personally to state the results of medical research and their own observation of general prognosis of the condition he's almost certainly by all reports received treatment for.  I have seen other reports that say there are rumors that the big red flag is a possible bone graft alongside the cadaver cartilage, which would explain why he wasn't even a late round flyer in a draft where guys like Chris Oladokun and Brock Purdy were picked.

That said I tend to agree if your point is that some of the predictions in here seem beyond all reason ludicrously refusing to look plain facts in the face optimistic.

You act like this is the worst injury that can never be recovered from.  Sports medicine has evolved, guys are coming back from Achilles tears like its no big deal anymore.

Thanks for moving the goal posts. I have never stated any of that nor is that my intention. That being said, his knee is different than anyone else's and so is the prognosis. The doctor you quoted does not have that information to make a fair assessment. The best is just an opinion. 32 teams had much more access to his personal information and all declined to draft him. To all of a sudden assume he will be fine and be the new QB is myopic and careless. There is no information out there to confirm this, so I will take a wait and see approach. I hope he heals and has a productive career.

It would not be funny to get a slightly better Jalen Hurts.  I would rather get a QB.

He drops some easy passes. The best right ends have better hands than him. Put the Pom poms down

Okay? All-around, few are better.

This may come as a surprise, but TEs also block. Even on pass oriented offenses, they run the ball 40% of the time.

Goedert is a real TE who's an excellent in line blocker, unlike some of the stat padding "TEs" who are more big WRs who can't block a lick.

I think I'd have Bucs and Rams ahead, but it's close. Interesting they call Godwin "elite" but Evans just "very good".

I’d have the Bucs ahead for sure. Have Evans, godwin and Russell gage as their trio. Gronk is likely returning and Cameron brate who could be starting on a lot of teams around the league. I also like Leonard fournette and Gio Bernard over miles, gainwell and Scott. I think the rams is closer. But i think the rams eventually add OBJ when healthy to kupp, Allen robinson and van Jefferson. I think tight end it’s the eagles. At Rb i think it’s a push as Akers has a chance to be the best back out of all of the backs if he’s healthy. Henderson is not a bad backup. Miles is right there with Akers if he’s healthy. gainwell and Scott are solid backups. I’d probably take the rams cause i think they have better depth at WR and i like Akers/Henderson potential upside more than miles/Scott/gainwell.

And no one would care.

In other news, what a hideous decision by the Eagles here.
