I agree with this. It's boring and unimaginative, but also replacing something very much outdated at this point. IMO it's not good. But it's better.

I much prefer hyper-traditional logos and word marks, like what the Packers or the Chiefs maintain. They are always in style (until the Chiefs become the Chefs), and we have some great examples of timeless logos in our history.

Take this for instance:

It’s a tiny bit NSDAP, but otherwise is a simplistic and timeless styling that can be updated to any generation.

yup, posted the same thing a bit ago.  Didn't include some of the ones you did.  It's the new thing and it will be the old thing sooner than later.  Lazy all around.
