Attracting attention is fine, but this guy looks for the camera like he's doing a 90s sitcom intro. He wants the world to know every little movement he does for some reason.

Because his play is sub-par and he needs all of the support he can get.

No one works harder than him! He is working himself to death for this city! That's why he's worrying about branding "Hurts so good" after that dominant performance in the playoffs

Unfortunately for Hurts new brand it was the Eagles that were actually the team that got dominated.

But almost everyone in the NFL works as hard as him lol that defense of him always lets me know there isn't anything on the field to defend. When it comes to getting positive attention, the man has definitely been coached well...not the same energy seems to go in to being a QB

This blog is ready to seize on the first thing he wears incorrectly in their eyes.  What do you mean?

He was defending Hurts.

I don't think Hurts is the guy but people in here are the biggest group of effing p-ussies I've had the pleasure of reading.  Who gives a crap about Hurts so Good?  He's a young man capitalizing on an opportunity to make money.  Isn't that the heart of the American Dream?  Make money, be free, enjoy the fruits of your labor and efforts.  Yet in here Hurts living the dream is some kind of travesty,  a remark on his character.  He is doing it the right way: lives clean, is a decent human being, kind to others, works hard.

Now, whether he is a quality starting NFL QB is another question entirely.  But he should run with every money making opportunity that is viable because if I'm correct ( and many others are too) he won't be making a 30 million a year NFL payday.

Rant over.

So Howie put questionable bandaids on defense at WIL and possibly at S in free agency.  To be honest, this seems to suggest two draft busts.  Uber athletic but questionable football IQ Taylor and Wallace.  Yes, AFan, I know the stats on third round and fourth round choices but those are the picks he chose to address those positions and I think it is reasonable to expect more out of a day two pick.  Yes, I know that injury has some bad luck to it, but in addition to apparently not developing as a player, Wallace further is hampered by unavailability.  Taylor was just overdrafted. I really hope the shake up in the scouting department improves their approach in the mid rounds.  I hope Halaby’s team learned something about bad agility in WRs from Reagor and JJAW.  I hope they have learned that "loves ball” from Nick isn’t just coach speak but a needed trait in players (Dillard, Reagor, JJAW……all the way back to the fireman).  I hope they learned that football IQ matters (TJ starts, Taylor and Bradley sit.). We’ll see.

Tartt signing makes sense. Probably a reasonably priced deal

Why is White questionable at WILL?

Jesse Colin Young had a great song - "One Note Man" - and here I am to preach fundamentals, again. My one note.

In an interview with BamaInsider.com, (Nick) Saban explained how Belichick chewed him out one day for coaching too much. It was a revelation for the now-famous coach.

"I was like, ‘Wow, I’ve never had my butt chewed out before for coaching, teaching.’ But I have to say the same thing sometimes to our coaches now. Because there’s a time when you’ve just got to let the players play. Because in a game, they’ve got to know what to do, they’ve got to know how to do it.”

Teach them fundamentals and then it's up to the players to execute them. Overloading  them with coaching direction leads to paralysis by analysis. As usual, I go back to Stoutland, who teaches fundamentals every day, Every damn day.

I don't think that most of us are saying he shouldn't try to make money or fault him for that. The "argument" is that people will prop him up as this once in a lifetime, high character angel that eats, sleeps and breathes hard work and improving his game when in reality he's just a normal guy that plays a sport and wants money.

He isn't "special" on or off of the field.

I don’t have anything against Hurts’ personality, but I come away from his PCs extremely unimpressed.  He talks, and says absolutely nothing.  He speaks in cliches and avoids directly answering questions.  I think it’s concerning coming from the starting QB

He's working on his post football future as a politician.

I literally gave him credit for it. Make the money anyway you can. Grift your weird fan base.

If he puts 100% of his energy into becoming a viable starting NFL QB he’ll be earning $40M per season,  and a ton more in endorsements would come in organically after achieving that success.

Cart before horse.  I’m sure he isn’t spending much time or energy on this clothing venture, but any time and energy spent on it is wasted

Will he?  Effort is a huge part of it but so is skill and to some degree of health luck. Personally I don't think he had the arm and processing talent to be that level of QB.

I also don't think it's really that much wasted effort to have his lawyer file a copyright or designers setting up a clothing line. He can keep training while that happens.

Meh. Taylor was #104, Wallace #127. Won't lose sleep if they're no more than STs and backups, if they're good on STs. Epps (waiver wire) and Edwards are better players, that's why you look everywhere. I thought Chachere showed flashes and moved ahead of Wallace, he's already a top ST guy. Taylor was a long shot pick, he has exceptional speed and they probably saw potential as a gunner and a nickel LB.

What's interesting is Tartt at 222 lbs is a safety while Stevens at 216 was converted to LB. Both have similar athletic profiles.

Wonder if they're running some hybrid nickel and dime schemes with a LB/SS type that they move around, making it hard for the QB to key on that player.

As far as Reagor and JJAW, that's bad scouting. Hightower v Watkins is late round roulette, you hit some, miss some b/c you're betting on potential, not production.

I hope I'm wrong but I don't think 100% of his energy gets him there.  Furthermore, being singularly focused is not a characteristic of successful people.  Routine, curiosity, ability to adapt are.

My gut feeling is that the logo is just part of a soft launch to a full rebrand.

Probably this guy who posted it yesterday. He’s such a leech.

Keeping everything in proportion, I feel like you can also teach them initial abstracts or concepts that apply to many situations on top of that. But much more, you're right.
