Starting an NFL team today using just AFC QB’s I’d put Mahomes as 1, but Burrow at 2 ahead of Herbert and Allen, so why is that nuts?

I'm sorry I brough such a depressing topic into the blog.  A little back story without too much detail. I met my friend 12 years ago during an AF commissioning program. He was on top of the world

How many examples do we need to see to know RTK has no ability to judge QB play?

Dak Prescott 53-32-0.

Kirk Cousins 59-59-2.

Kirk Cousins is a QB that will pile up stats but never seems to really have any winning impact on the teams he is on.  He's been in the league 10 years but has only made the playoffs three times and every time it's been as a wild card team.  Never once in his 10 year career has he actually led a team to 1st place in a division.

Dak Prescott on the other hand has a very clear and obvious winning impact on Cowboys as seen by how terrible they were in 2020 without him.  Never had a losing season and has made the playoffs 3 times now with all three instances being division wins.

Would’ve been a perfect time for this

3:40 "Do you have to be a dissector of defenses to win a Super Bowl?"

Cross Hurts off the list

Amari Cooper, to Dak:

"You're a black Kirk Cousins"

Argument over. Thanks for playing.

So back in 2015 there was a story up here about a rich guy who was drunk driving, ran a stop sign and plowed into a van, killing 3 kids and a grandfather, and injuring the grandmother and great grandmother pretty badly. The rich guy was coming back from his bachelor party in Vegas, and had been drinking on the plane ride back, was completely smashed. Had more than enough money to hire a car service (his family is top 25 richest in Canada). Was 3 times over the legal limit, and actually pissed himself when talking to the cops at the scene.

He was sentenced to 10 years in prison, the kids were 9, 5 and 2. In 2021, he was released on parole. Back to a life of opulence. This father's day, the dad of the 3 kids committed suicide. Just an awful story, and insanely infuriating how unfair life can be. It'd be great if they could charge and convict him of killing the father too, but obviously that won't happen.

The best news for Eagles fans is McCarthy has been quoted saying they plan to have Dak run more this season.  Designed runs, rollouts, scrambles, etc.

Not only does that increase his chance for injury, but Dak has always had flawed technique when trying to throw while rolling right — making him quite inaccurate on those throws

In a just world, the rich drunk guy would be sentenced to death by vehicular manslaughter.

Gotta be tougher penalties for impaired driving, and the penalties need to be enforced.  Driving is a privilege, and if you choose to drive impaired you should be banned from operating any motorized vehicle.

That horrific "Sunny" chick from WWE killed an old man a few months ago (similar circumstances to Ruggs), and she already had 7 DUI convictions, license taken away, etc.  Borrowed the vehicle from her "boyfriend", who should be held criminally responsible as well.

A girl I work with has been driving around on a suspended license for 2 yrs now. Still smokes weed while driving. Everyday I feel the need to report her to the police

Me too. Too bad he never teamed up with Dave Gettleman, ideally in Washington with Dan Snyder. Now that’s  a murderers row.

I met a guy in jail who was doing time for his 6th DUI, luckily he didn't hurt anybody else but it was the first time he was sentenced to more than a weekend or probation, and he was worried he'd lose his job.

Nice guy, obvious alcoholic with poor decision making skills, seems one shouldn't still be driving after a 6th DUI🤷‍♂️

No we don’t.  We are too vindictive of a society. A person with 7 DUIs needs help.  Obviously has a drinking problem.

I believe the Canadian Supreme Court is currently deciding on intent. Currently, if you are impaired and kill someone while driving, you can argue there was no intent to kill anybody when you got behind the wheel. That's why the case I referenced earlier got off with a relative slap on the wrist. If the SC decides that being impaired and getting behind the wheel carries an inherent intent, it could significantly change things.

Yup, locking people up doesn't do much to help them change behaviors, sure there needs to be consequences yet those consequences need to have a purpose, jail often does not

We need to have more programs for people in and out of jail to help them overcome their weaknesses and be more productive parts of society.
