No, I’d definitely be more ashamed of their 2021 than ours. Just blanketly getting 1 round further in the playoffs isn’t necessarily a season with better optics when all context is included.

We were arguably the biggest overachievers of 2021, us or maybe SF (were they a 4 win team the year before with a running QB?). GB was easily the biggest underachievers.

Carr has a two-fold problem.  His teams have never had any real success and he's never been viewed as an elite QB.  The 2 problems are related.  If Carr takes the Raiders to a Super Bowl, he's going to get talked about as a top 5 to 10 QB.  It would still probably take a SB win for him to really make a case coupled with sustained success for the team over the next 5 seasons.  Given their division, that seems like a really long shot.

Imagine our expectations if this team had a generational talent at QB and a top 5 defense.  They have underacheived in the post season with Rodgers.  They were a number 1 seed and lost to Jimmy G in the playoffs embarassingly at home.

That Athletic rankings from NFL sources is pretty good. I'd probably make a few minor changes, but it's mostly spot-on. Hurts was ranked T-20th with... Carson Wentz.

Interesting that the only time Rodgers won a Super Bowl the Packers were a #6 seed and not a favorite.  The following season the Packers went 15-1 and fell on their faces in the postseason.  Rodgers has never performed well in the playoffs when he had expectations.

He's a HOF player, no doubt.  One of the most talented football payers ever -- but unless he finds at least one more Lombardi he'll end up down the list a ways on the all-time greats.

Why does he have a career winning record against teams with winning records?  He had some big time wins this past season as well against good teams.

Eagles played them close in that playoff game too the year they won it all. Thought Vick was going to pull out the win.
