Some team from AFCW is going to the SB I think Chargers but that division has a ton of talent and will likely decimate the league

He may go to the film room now to get paid, but he is likely to start playing Angry Birds while in there to pass the time. It’s an attitude problem. I certainly wouldn’t reward that with more money There seems to be a disconnect somewhere in the Cards hierarchy. There is one voice that is saying "we need this guy as our franchise QB of the future, and believe in him to the point we'll give him one of the richest contracts in NFL history", and seemingly another voice saying "you're getting this contract only on the condition you agree to 4 hours of self-learning per week -- and we're writing it into your contract as insurance for us". I can't believe both of those two things were done by the same person/people. Hard to believe they're giving $160M in guaranteed money to a player they have some obvious concerns about.

Yup. It's usually best to consider the relative weakness of the rest of the division when predicting #1 and #2 seeds. I won't believe in MIA until I see it; I know it's Belichick but I think the Pats could be pretty bad with that ad hoc coaching staff hierarchy and no coordinators, and the Jets .... are the Jets.
July 26, 20223 yr 1 minute ago, Mike030270 said: Disagree. We shall see What makes you think the AFC W doesn't split their games against each other? The Bills should easily go 4-2 or 5-1 in their division, 6-0 not out of the question. They also draw the AFC north, and should have wins over the Browns/Ravens/Steelers, and Bengals may have a SB hangover. Tough games against the Chiefs, Rams and Packers. But should be easy wins over Chi/Det/Min. 5 in division, 4-2, 5-1 against Chi/Det/Min/KC/Rams/Packers. 3-4 over the AFC N; puts them at 12-14 wins. Should be pretty close to 1 seed.

Bills will have a pretty easy path to the #1 seed. I think a main point we have to keep in mind is we had no real juggernauts in the AFC last year, and that’s a big reason why Cincy made it all the way to the SB. Tennessee settled in on the first seed because no one else could push past them. Buffalo IMO is a slightly overrated team, Allen’s 2021 wasn’t close to his 2020 and no one seems to care. They were a 6 loss team last year with a QB who nearly led the league in turnovers, had the worst completion% in the top 10, and all this in a division that wasn’t particularly competitive. They had a close playoff game against a Chiefs team that wasn’t really all that in 2021 either; their season was really up and down despite going 12-5 (part of that is they swept the Broncos which won’t happen again). Remember for big stretches of the season where it seemed like Mahomes was losing it? These are not locks for top seeds. And because of that, I’m all aboard Denver. LV I believe will continue to be the same old mediocre team; LAC improves slightly but DEN goes 4-2 in the division and rides their fourth place schedule to the #1 seed. They get the Jets while the Pats, Chiefs, Bills, Chargers, Dolphins, and Raiders are beating each other up. They don’t have to play Cincy like the Bills and Chiefs do. Those slight schedule variances matter. Broncos were 2nd in scoring defense, despite playing on that division, despite playing against all those QBs. They have a decent offensive line that PFF ranked over Baltimore, ranked over Buffalo, ranked over Tennessee, and they upgraded it with Billy Turner and Tom Compton in FA who both should factor into the starting groups. They have a running back who in his rookie year already showed out to be one of the best in the league, and Oh yeah, their receiving corps is one of the best and deepest in the league. They really are just a QB away. I feel this is reminiscent of the 2020 to 2021 Rams adding Matt Stafford. I’m not saying they’re winning the SB, but 11-13 wins is my prediction.

Bills had some nice upgrades this offseason IMO. Von Miller will give them a presence at Edge that they haven't had in a while, and could free up Ed Oliver and Rosseau for nice years. OJ Howard was a nice signing for them too. Saffold if he stays healthy will beef up their interior OL. The biggest piece may hinge on Gabriel Davis. If he can take a big step forward, their passing attack will be really really good.
