I'm sorry I brough such a depressing topic into the blog.  A little back story without too much detail. I met my friend 12 years ago during an AF commissioning program. He was on top of the world

Josh Allen comparison.

Holy hell.  It’s like Hurts Squirters read from a script.

In no world should anyone be comparing Hurts to Josh Allen for any reason. What a joke.

Hurts is coming off of a 16 TD and 9 INT season and returning to the same offense with AJ Brown added as a WR1.  Realistically, the "leap" the organization can hope for is somewhere around 24 TDs and 10 INT.

Pretty much same weapons except Brown added I think. Might be some different depth

Oline has slightly changed but still should be a top Oline

His defenders make it seem like he had trash. It's not like he was throwing to practice squad players

Reagor is one player that we should see less of this year.

Added AJ Bown and Zach Pascal to the mix.

Smith has 1300+ yards last year with a competent QB. Watkins probably has 900+.

Stat Muse said they had 5 called back, which was good for 3rd overall(cowboys 9, dolphins 6)

So lets say all 5 were Hurts's throws, how many of those 5 were later ran in by Hurts, or he ended up throwing a TD anyways?

8 TD passes called back on penalties in this video.  He also had a clear TD pass to Goedert against the Saints that was ruled down at the 1 which the Eagles would have easily won if challenged but they opted not to.

Did you know he's only 23?

For two more weeks; then he'll be only 24.

I forgot about him. Where is he supposed to be on the depth chart?

Steelers make it. They upgraded at Quarterback and have an easier schedule.

ZERO... and I mean ZERO chance he has a combined 42 touchdowns. .

You name the bet

If he does, you have to take a year off from the board

First TD he throws another to Goedert on the next play. Also, illegal man downfield may have been called because Hurts didn't/doesn't understand how to run an RPO (I'd have to go and watch the entire play) so the penalty shown may be Hurts fault.

2nd TD is Reagor's fault.

3rd is a combo penalty, one on KC for facemask, one on Dillard for ineligible downfield pass. Surprise! It's another RPO that Hurts waits to throw, causing the oline to move downfield. Hurts fault.

4th is a penalty on JJAW for OPI. JJAW's fault.

5th is Smith going OOB. Smith's fault.

6th is OPI again, on Ward.

7th had 2 penalties, one on Smith for OPI, and one on Driscoll for ineligible man downfield, because, it's an RPO that Hurts holds onto!

8th is a handoff lol, has nothing to do with Hurts??

It's probably AJ Brown, Devonta Smith, Quez Watkins

Then Zach Pascal, Jalen Reagor, Greg Ward

Sigh....we really have to have at least one more year of Reagor? Do we know if he showed up and succeeded in conditioning drills? Maybe they'll cut him if he fails it again

For now.  Hightower beats out Reagor and Ward.  I’ll bet Bacarty’s posting privileges on it.

What do you think Reagor's Rock Paper Scissors winning percentage is?

Carson was one of my favorite backs. Ran so hard.

  • Hurts has only started 19 games
  • 8 TDs called back
  • 23 years old
  • New coach/system
  • Longest passing play of 2021

What else am I missing on the Hurts excuse train?

Still basically a rookie. I'm sure they'll pivot to the lack of talent as RB is holding him back because teams will load up in coverage. Hmmm what else....
