I'm sorry I brough such a depressing topic into the blog.  A little back story without too much detail. I met my friend 12 years ago during an AF commissioning program. He was on top of the world

Inquirer is completely behind a paywall now?  Any kind soul want to throw their coverage up in 411?  Curious about the article about Calcaterra "shining".  It's McLane but ill give it a read if i can

Don't have a subscription but I've read from other observers good things about the Calcaterra/Minshew connection yesterday. He had a nice intermediate TD running a seam route.

Well, your bet was first, so you get the first two months, then he would follow.

My only question is how can I align two hilarious avatars for you and bacarty to have concurrently.

Just confuse everyone and give Bacarty 4for4's avatar and give 4for4 just a purple B

No, this is just wrong. Having Reddick drop into coverage on the very first day of practice just proves our defensive coordinator sucks. I’m sure of it. It definitely means that he’s going to spend the majority of his time on the field twenty yards from the line of scrimmage and backpedaling rather than rushing the passer, which is his bread and butter as an NFL player.

The defensive coordinator that is so scared to give up big plays also refuses to scheme a defense that can make a play.

Fire Gannon now!! Salvage the 2022 season.

Lol I think the timing would work out where Bacarty controls his avatar for a month, then you get it for the 2 months after.

Wrong!!!   I was first.  No one asked you anyway Shaggy

Actually, if I lose both bets, bacartys bet would end week 13, so he would have the next 4 weeks, then I would get my avatar back for a week before you kick in your avatar.

I know.  I can't believe Gannon tipped off that he was having the WR coach drop into coverage on crossing routes.

So when's the next practice? Monday?

Yes, Monday September 5th, don't want to overwork these guys.

Tomorrow and Saturday, then off again.

So what's the point in these new practice helmets some players are wearing? I know it's to prevent concussions and be safer than a normal helmet but is their a benefit to using them in when practices aren't in pads with limited contact? Especially since they won't be used in actual games.

Looks like a bunch of Dark Helmets running around out there.

Not a very good throw, and Maddox was not "draped" all over him as reported.

More impressed with Watkins hauling that in than anything else.

I get that, but there was reports he had been working with QB gurus this offseason. I had some hope that he'd be focused on pocket improvement, so disheartening to see on day 1 that he hasn't learned a damn thing. Just bring in Strong now and let him learn.

Wasn't he working with Brady? They made such a big deal about it

This is from Gary Cobb and I don't think he's typically just a mouthpiece for the team.  One practice in to TC, doesn't mean much but if he is making decisions faster that would be progress.

Was hoping he'd have the good and bad in there and not just the good. Seems like it's either or and not both from reporters

It was a back shoulder throw. It was fine

He had to jump and go full extension, it was not a good throw.

Here is what a back shoulder throw should look like.

2nd throw in this video is the same part of the endzone.  The receiver did not have to jump, extend or break stride.

Any criticism and they say you're not a fan

NFL preseason pick ems:

1. Who misses their top WR more: Packers missing Adams or Chiefs missing Hill?

2. More likely to make playoffs in 2022 that missed in 2021: Ravens or Chargers?

3. More likely to miss playoffs in 2022 that made in 2021: Patriots or Steelers?

Seems a little low and a little too far away from him for a back shoulder throw.

I doubt it. The only person I saw that said it was Dan Sileo and everyone ran with it. No players or anyone else in the media has confirmed it, from what I saw.

As a back shoulder throw it's fine, but by his release and trajectory I think it's supposed to be a fade.  As a fade it left something to be desired

Cool. You guys are gonna nitpick every little thing.

He threw the ball where only his guy could get it and the receiver made the play. Also it’s the fuucckking second day of camp.

Youre right. We are being a little too hard on a rookie
