I know it won’t happen but makes me wonder.

Eagles just drafted Jurgens to be the center of the future. The Bucs probably just lost their center for the year. I’m sure they’d overpay for Kelce.

Calm down, I know Kelce is a Philly legend but just some food for thought

Kelce's new deal was set up so the only out was a post June 1 cut next year.

I'm sorry I brough such a depressing topic into the blog.  A little back story without too much detail. I met my friend 12 years ago during an AF commissioning program. He was on top of the world

See that's where you're wrong.  He's a Hurts Squirters.  It's us other guys that you don't like that are the Circle Jerks.  You need to pay attention.  TBH, I figured you were one of the Squirters.

Not a squirter.

I forgot he was on the team to be honest.

Wait till the season starts. My guess is we will be hearing a lot of "Why is Pascal playing more than Watkins?"

He's right though.  I think it was dec of 1996.  I was working in Williamsburg VA.  Went to a Golden Corral on seafood night.  Yeah, young dumb and thought I had a stomach made of steel.  Welp, holy F.  It destroyed me.  I had it coming out of both ends, at once.  It weakened my immune system so bad I then got a seriously bad cold.  I was sick from around mid December all the way through New Year's.  I think I lost 15 lbs.

Was the endless shrimp worth it?

Didn't they also draft Landon to be the center of the future?

I think they drafted Dickerson because of his flexibility, upside, and leadership.  Using a 2nd round draft pick on Jurgens pretty much cements Dickerson a G.

They have a history of drafting a player for a position only to move him to another position because the one he's replacing isn't gone yet and thrive at the new one

Coaches use intersquad practices to work on particular things. I would hope that Sirianni has figured out the things that confused Hurts most last year and will ask the Browns and Dolphins to run some of that stuff. It's a few weeks off but it's worth a thought.

Getting back to the open practice, did any of the reporters chart where Hurts threw the ball? Slants, digs, etc. - the plays he seemed to avoid last year?

Dont know how many of you have a chance too or in the area, but the National Sports Collectible convention is this weekend in Atlantic City. Have some cool game worn jerseys, cards and almost anything vintage and modern sports related items. Here’s the Mickey mantle card they have on display that’s expected to go for $10 mil and the game worn Jordan shoe

Indeed. Shawn Andrews and Todd Herremanns were drafted to play tackle.

And ya'll thought Jalen's "swag" was annoying...

Nah. Not getting into the Hurts circle jerk. RTK might put me on Ignore.

People always acting like I have a lot of people on ignore when it's only 3 people that never have anything of value to contribute.

Sorry. It was meant as a joke. Not funny though.

Who on the Eagles could drop the best bars?

No doubt in my mind it's Davion Taylor

Rap is straight trash today you can't even understand what they're saying with that auto-tune and beats. Takes zero talent.

Reason #763 why it's dumb to buy jerseys of current NFL players

A quick Google search tells me his moniker is Yung Joka, and that tells me all I need to know.

I think I typically gain about 15 pounds between mid December and New Years.

This may be viewed by some as something ridiculous to complain about. But I don’t care. I’m really bothered by the way the Eagles have been giving out low numbers. Quarterbacks and kickers/punters are limited to numbers between 1 and 19. But the Eagles have given out 2,3,6,7,11,14,16,17,18, and 19 to players at other positions. Then you take out 5 and 15 because they are retired. Then there’s 12 which no one has worn in about twenty years and probably never will again. And it looks like 9 is not going to be assigned anytime soon either. That’s fourteen numbers (out of nineteen) that are unavailable for all the quarterbacks, kickers, and punters.

So we are in the position where our punter and rookie quarterback have to wear the same number. It’s getting really, really tight. Options are going to be really limited if Strong makes the team. Maybe they give him Sinnett’s number if he were to get cut.

Obviously Reagor and JJ aren’t locks, so those numbers could open up. But that may not happen either.

It just bothers me that the Eagles have voluntarily put themselves into this position. What was wrong with Quez Watkins wearing 80? Why did Gainwell have to get 14? Why give Paschal 3?

While on the topic I’m not a fan of retiring numbers - or holding them in indefinite reserve (like 12)

My completely unfounded and uneducated guess (I haven't looked this up at all) is that in the last CBA, the players negotiated to be able to choose any number they wanted. The owners probably didn't think it was a big deal (and also a way to sell even more jerseys) and agreed. So it's likely a combo of the players pushing for it and the owners wanting to capitalize on extra sales.

I will be irrationally mad when they start giving out 0 unless it’s like Reagor

Well, I think it won’t be long before they create a new rule allowing specialists to wear numbers outside the 1-19 restriction.

Who the hell is the other center Joe Banner is talking about? Seumalo? Jurgens? Does he think Herbig is still on the roster? Or am I completely forgetting someone?
