Strong launched a moonball deep down the left side of the field to Britain Covey that was on the mark, but Covey could not make the play. Dude can rip it. He probably has the best arm of all the Eagles' quarterbacks.

Some of Kempski's notes

If his knee is alright they have QB1.

Ryan Kerrigan sucked, but he wasn’t a complete liability. For as good as Eagles are at drafting OL, they brought in some real duds who actively hurt the team every chance they had. Stacy Andrews, Demetress Bell, Chance Warmack, Jamon Brown etc.

I think I read somewhere that Michael Haddix was rated as the worst eagle pick of all time.

Both in terms of passing on Dan Marino in favor of an aging Jaworski to select him, and Haddix's career 3.0 yards per carry.

Seeing Metcalf re-sign and Deebo likely re-signing too, while the Eagles didn’t trade for the best WR this off-season, I think they traded for the WR with the best combo of youth and ability.

And so far with camp, two days in is no reason to panic on anything, but the coaching staff is the biggest question this season, not Hurts. I say that because I think most of us have an idea of what Jalen Hurts is. He’s an average QB who struggles with accuracy and will have a game once every 4-5 weeks where he looks dynamic playing a crap defense when he takes off and runs and then throws for like 300 yards.

But I honestly still have no idea what Sirianni and Gannon are. Everyone said all Gannon needs is the personnel and he’ll look great. Well, if the guy has Reddick dropping into coverage all season, the dude is a Fing moron.

Jalen hurts has had 4 300+ yard passing games all 4 losses

So even when he passes for a bunch of yards he still loses.

Gannon used players out of position on the DL all last year, so I would be 0% surprised if Reddick is dropping into coverage more than he should be.

He like to catch people off guard, doing things no one would expect. (because no one in the right mind would do it)

Sucks for a guy to play 8 of his 10 years as a Redskin and he can't be acknowledged as that.

With that being said, has there been a worse Eagle?

Yeah he had a few that were teammates...

To be fair I wanted him when he was young and hadn't become weird yet lol

You guys realize that play calling and play design, game plan, etc are different things right?

You act like NS stopped going into the offensive coaching room.

No, it was his game plan, it was his design, it was his plays, just someone different called it on game day

Well if you want to get technical... Nick has said in numerous PCs that it's a collaborative approach to make the plays

and in each of those, a large chunk came in garbage time.

Teams we're shutting down the Hill big play and it was hurting the chiefs looking for the home run.

I think the Chiefs trade was brilliant. The capital and money savings they got from that deal allowed them to get...

MVS, Juju, Skyy Moore, McDuffie, Karlafatis and Justin Reid.

Thats 3 starters on both side of the ball for 1 guy.

3 JAGs for a difference maker isn't a good deal.

The full practice was 1:15 but the last 5 minutes were for a developmental period of younger players fighting to stick in the NFL.

Whoa a full 5 minutes!

It was literally 5 minutes of fighting. Winner stays at camp. Julian came out like Bruce Buffer and said ITS TIME!

Mecole Hardman isn't Tyreek Hill, but I think with the added workload he'll fulfill quite a bit of what Hill was doing.

My brother is a lifelong Chiefs fan and he says Hardman's biggest issue compared to Hill is tracking the deep ball -- but he'll be a weapon on the short to intermediate stuff.

Zangaro's practice notes (excluding stuff already posted)

• Isaac Seumalo is clearly the Eagles’ right guard. The first two days, he has been taking the first reps at right guard and then Sua Opeta rotates in. If this was a competition, I’d imagine we’d see Jack Driscoll get those chances. Driscoll is working as the second team right tackle.

• Miles Sanders worked exclusively with the second team on Friday, while Boston Scott and Kenny Gainwell split reps with the starters. Don’t make too much of this just yet, but it’s something to monitor.

• The Eagles are still mixing and matching odd and even fronts. Without Cox, the Eagles 3-4 look had second-year DT Marlon Tuipulotu at nose, surrounded by Milton Williams and Javon Hargrave as the ends, while Haason Reddick and Josh Sweat were the top outside backers. Both of them have also been featured as standup rushers in a 4-3 alignment.

• The top two linebackers on Friday were T.J. Edwards and Kyzir White. White made his first big play of training camp when he exploded into the backfield to pick up a "sack” against Hurts. Davion Taylor has been mixing in with the first team, while Nakobe Dean has been working with the second team.

Speaking of Taylor, he’s off to a solid start. Taylor had three notable plays on Friday. One was the INT off Minshew following the McCain deflection. He had another play where he hit Boston Scott at the perfect time to pop the ball free for a PBU. And an understated one came when he chased down Hurts on a perfect angle after the quarterback broke free from the pocket. Taylor has been a forgotten guy in this defense, but he could earn a role and some playing time.

Sounds bad to say about Driscoll, who I like -- but I think his best value to the team at this point is a super-sub, or swiss army knife at both RT and RG.  If Lane goes down, Driscoll slots in.  If Seumalo goes down, Driscoll slots in.  Both Lane and Seumalo are strong candidates to miss time. (as is Driscoll, for that matter)

I think it's a fine role for a 4th round pick. Driscoll is ok but just can't stay healthy. Plus, this means they can stop moving Mailata back and forth whenever Lane is hurt and let him settle in at LT.

May as well keep Sanders running with the 2nd team - Gainwell and Scott will be taking all the reps by week 3 when Sanders is hurt anyway

Scott getting 1st team reps over Sanders? That has to mean Sanders is on the trade block because he’s definitely a better player than Scott.

Coaches might be trying to light a fire under Sanders after that "all-star team" remark.  That had a complacent ring about it.

Especially when he shows up the first day and is triple catching passes
