Maybe, but the part that makes no sense is Kyler agreed to it. He signed the contract. Unless his agent didn't read the contract and give him a full run-down of the details, it makes Kyler look stupid too. I'm not surprised he's lashing out a bit after getting clowned on, but like, why ever agree to it in the first place?

Every NFL QB gets put under the microscope at one point or another.  Rodgers took a lot of heat in light of the Packers drafting Jordan Love, and his reaction, crazy COVID takes. etc.  Mayfield has taken a really hard bashing since having a down year in CLE last year.  Cousins lives in the limelight of getting disparaged constantly.  Goff has doubtlessly had to answer countless questions about the Rams dumping him and winning a Super Bowl immediately with his replacement.  Wentz has been publicly trashed by the Colts' maybe-sober-maybe-not owner who decided to meddle.

It pretty much comes with the bloated contract.  Like you said, it shouldn't get reduced down to the lowest common denominator.

Yeah, so that's on him, not the Cardinals.  He probably saw all the $ signs in the contract, figured "I'm going to do all that studying anyway so why do i GAF if that clause is included', didn't want to risk raising a red flag and having the Cardinals lower the $ amount if he asked to remove it, and signed away.  I'd have probably done the same thing if somebody offered me $230 million to play a game.

The question does not make sense - if you substituted Sirianni's name for Howie's it might be a valid question.  Really, the question is just a shot at Roseman meant to imply, if not state, that he is an unwarranted coaching staff meddler, an accusation I think is terribly over-exaggerated if not entirely untrue.

To the extent the question is a legitimate question, I think he would do what any good GM does -- keep on working at getting the team better, both for 2022 and the future.  And if he fired anyone, I doubt it would be Gannon.

It was a different time. Training camps were longer and there wasn't social media like there is today.

No matter what though, Spadaro was bad at this job.

Nah, I think Jon Harris was worse. At least Allen was viewed as a first round talent prior to the draft. So was Haddix, for that matter. But Harris was viewed as a fourth or fifth round guy when that day started. And to compound things, the Eagles tried to get Harris to agree to a contract as he was being picked (though not common, that was a "thing” in those days), a contract that was going to be for second round money. Basically, the Eagles were acknowledging that he was a huge reach.

It's obvious Kyler and his agent didn't study the contract just like he doesn't really study game film to prepare.

Pretty sure he admitted to not studying alot of game film before this.

All I know, our guy, Hurts SZN, studies 700 hours of game film everyday.

Hurts threw too high on a short pass intended for Watkins in 7-on-7.

11-on-11 did not go much better. Hurts was also inaccurate on an out route to Dallas Goedert; the tight end only managed to get one outstretched hand on the ball. Hurts threw another pass to a crossing Goedert that was off target wide and low.

There was a rep where Hurts ended up checking down to Kenneth Gainwell in the flat after seemingly having A.J. Brown streaking open deep down the field. Perhaps Brown was not as easily available to Hurts in his progression ... but not seeing the entire field has previously been an issue for him.

Hurts’ best throw came when he connected with Brown on a post down the right sideline for a 25-yard gain or so.

• Goedert made an impressive one-handed grab to snag an off-target Hurts screen pass that the QB had to get off quickly with pressure in his face.

• Kyzir White arguably had the play of practice when he flew up the field to notch a "sack” on Hurts, who had drifted to the left and was unable to even get the ball off.

• Again, I wouldn’t merely assume Nakobe Dean is going to have a massive role from the jump. Edwards is having a good offseason and White has flashed. It’s been a quieter go for Dean.

 When Zangaro and Reub mention the DB’s celebrating for 25-30 seconds every time they defend or intercept a pass, plus Slay celebrating in AJ Browns face, and how it ruins practice, you know Slay is causing all of it and it just makes the world a little more awesome.
